NatWest First Reserve Huge Changes
Comments

There are likely to be people who wouldn't want you to stand up for them. I am one of them.
Me too.
First Reserve is a savings account. I have one, but haven't used it for over a year. The interest it pays is an insult and I use current accounts for, well, current account services.
I just don't care that Natwest intend to enforce the T&C and remove the debit card facility.
There are alternatives available and the OP seems to be trying to start some sort of campaign to be a hero.
OP is also looking like a troll (now).0 -
There's not even one message of 'hey, I see where your coming from, good on you for making it so far with your setup, here's a suggestion, try this'.
There have been many suggestions offered, you just seem to disagree with all of them, ergo they are not suggestions0 -
You should, perhaps, infer something from this?

Hi everyone just catching up, there is one good recommendation so far, that is the Natwest Select Account with Overdraft Control.

Easy option is to open a LTSB Vantage account and get upto 3% on the balance (max £5k). It is in effect a savings account with the full additional benefits of a current account eg DD, debit card, cheque book etc.

Which is another possibility.
I havent disagreed with either of them, I've stated I'm keen to look into the NatWest product.0 -

There's also Halifax current account with control or Bank Of Scotland Classic account with control.Time is a path from the past to the future and back again. The present is the crossroads of both. :cool:0 -
Since you work at NatWest, can you suggest another NatWest product which doesnt have any charges?
Of course he can't as there isn't one. This account was an anomaly ie a savings account with current account facilities, without the fees.
You've had a good long time using their facilities at no charge; the loophole's been closed. Now live with it. Not what you want to hear, but them's the facts.
And, no, I don't and never have worked for the RBS Group.0 -
Your Visa Debit card will work until it expires, Don't lose it!

I'm genuinely surprised, seeing as Martin Lewis was the man to rebel against the banks originally and help everyone get their charges back. I expected this forum to be along those lines still.
There really was not the push I, and I am sure many others, was hoping for to explore other legal arguments that could be used, nor much reporting of Mike Dailly's/Govan Law Centre's use of those legal arguments in a few select cases against various banks (and I fear now we are out of time for bringing new claims).0 -
Or until the bank replaces it and notifies you of it's cancellation. I'd suggest that account holders have already been notified of this intention. The OP is playing weasel words.
I also suspect the bank will re-issue the card before they expire.
Im begining to think this thread is a wind up.0
