Always amazed at how ALDI and their partners, Parking Eye are willing to drag their customers through the legal system for parking errors, yet seem to continually have blatant disregard for the safety of their staff and safety. Northwich, 17:08: 16/5/14. Geo tagged stuff sent to the Fire Service.Illegitimi non carborundum:)0

I see SS has been shopping again,S**** S****
Great shop at Aldi today, lots of bargains. Then popped over the road to Waitrose for my free coffee to round things off nicely!
hope, if she drove, that she moved her car from the Aldi car park when she went for her coffee. :rotfl:
Oh, and bump.0 -
Today's shocking offering. So angry, £70 carpark fine for being 30mins late. I am 8 months pregnant with a 18 month old. My sister and I come every Thursday and spend over £100 each most times! Will no longer be shopping with you, nor sing your praises.

Katie Overington Also had a problem with your trollies on this day, we had to ask someone that works in store to come and release the trolley and return our pound coins as there wasnt another trolley to get our pound returned!!

Kazura Burke-Perky Katie. First of all I hope the next month goes smoothly for you. Now to the main point. [Text removed by MSE Forum Team] They have no legal basis on which they can claim anything from you. Go to Money Saving Expert and look at the private parking section. At the top is the newbies thread. Have a good read [Text removed by MSE Forum Team]. If you then start a new thread with some details you will be helped by the members there [Text removed by MSE Forum Team]. By all means contact Aldi but don't just leave it there. They cannot be trusted to cancel this. Best of luck.

Noah Thority-Incort @Katie - glad you've looked on MSE - follow the advice on how to appeal. If you contact Aldi be prepared - this post by Phillip Callow lower down the page shows how unhelpful Aldi can be
Phillip Callow - “Swap and Save” doesn’t seem to have worked for me after visiting Aldi Bootle for the first time last week. I spent £31 for shopping which was literally thrown through the checkout- a few eggs were broken, but “Never mind” I thought, “think of how much money I’m saving!” A week later I was then sent a £70 charge for parking there, which [text removed by MSE Forum Team] Aldi parking management thought was quite reasonable when I called her. I am now having to waste time fighting this preposterous parking charge. Aldi- there is something deeply amiss with your customer service.

Two more lost customers - well done Aldi, well done PE!We have just received a parking charge notice from Parking Eye as my husband failed to enter his car registration number when he went to your store last week.
He rarely does the shopping and having been up since 4:30 in the morning to do his job, he failed to notice all your signs asking him to enter it.
To be honest I came a few weeks back to buy easter goodies for my students and I failed to see these signs too... so either I dodge a bullet then OR these signs are fairly new OR not very visible!
We were very happy with the products we bought and were planing to become regular shoppers in your store but since we are being treated as criminals I can promise you we will not ever set foot in your store again and tell all our friends and families to do the same.
I can understand why you feel obligated to do such a thing but I really would think you should hit repeat offenders rather than hit everybody even your genuine shoppers.
£40 is a lot of money and people come to your shops as they find it is a way to stretch their ever reducing spare cash, I know we were but no more.
Thank you for nothing, have a good evening and farewell.NOT liking Aldi as I have just received a fine for staying in their car park too long - whilst spending considerable money in store buying provisions for parties to celebrate receiving my 5 years 'all clear' from womb cancer. I was pleased with my shopping but certainly NOT impressed with being fined for being a customer! As well as regular food shops, I have another celebration coming up but I'll be returning to Tesco (where I've never been fined for shopping!). Needless to say I do NOT intend shopping at Aldi again. Shame really, as I was impressed with the new store..
And in this second case, the lady paid the £40 immediately as she was worried it would increase to £70 and as she 'always wants to do the right thing'. Well Aldi, maybe you should do the right thing by this lady and refund her £40? The alternative would be to give her a larger amount in vouchers; that way there is a better chance of getting her to return to your shop. Otherwise I guess it's another sad goodbye! Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

Presumably once they know who the driver was?
It's better than the other TOCs who decide they like to charge £100 if you park 1mm over the white line, and that was the only station which mentioned a figure, others were either free or stated that "persistent abuse would be treated under the by-laws".
Sadly I couldn't get a lovely picture of the Parking Eye sign (wording was rather tiny, but I did manage to get this lovely snap of Euro thinking they can issue penalties in a supermarket car-park

Aldi wants to open a new store up in Salisbury on the site of a former vehicle garage, thanks but no thanks, they aren't using the free council P&R car-park to avoid building a car-park large enough0 -
Odd sign. Headed CP Plus, the footer states 'Car park managed and controlled by Euro Car Parks'.
Maybe I've missed something along the way, but I've always assumed these to be separate companies? Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

The only thing I can think about is that the Morrison's car park in question used to be infested by Euro, but got replaced by CP Plus, and with CP Plus trying to save money putting little stickers over some of the Euro logos.0
