Aldi Facebook Page Kicking Off after Parking Eye LBAs

Good People
If you have a car that is likely to break down, don't go shopping at Aldi. Look what happened in Leyland (just down the road from Chorley Towers).
Even though the shop manager at Aldi Leyland was aware of the situation with an Aldi customer who had proof of spending and proof of an AA callout (which Aldi's chums also knew about), this just ain't good enough as PE still want their pound of flesh, well probably £80 actually. On the 22nd Februrary 2014 my daughter and I did our shopping in your store in Leyland. When we loaded the car up and tried to set off the car would not start. We went in side to find the manager to tell him of our problem and that we would have to call out the AA. He said no problem keep your receipt and just inform parking eye when you get a ticket.More fantastic customer service from Aldi and more compassion from those lovely people at Chorley Towers .... ... NOT.
We have received a ticket and have appealed to parking eye but they will not do anything about it. We can prove we spent money in your shop, we can prove the AA was called out to your store, You can also see them on your camera repairing the car.

Another appalling story resulting from the unholy alliance between Aldi and PE.
Just what will it take for Aldi to recognise that the continuing anguish inflicted on their customer base by their 'in-bed agent' will ultimately cost them far more than the inconvenience of having the odd 'rogue parker' on their car park.
Come to think of it, of all the cases raised here or on the Aldi Facebook page, I have never seen one from what you would call a rogue parker (e.g. someone using the car park for the whole day while they were at work and not shopping at Aldi). What we actually see, in reality, are genuine shoppers who have marginally over-shot the very arbitrary set time limit (which is defined more to suit PE than Aldi, I would suggest). Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

Just thought I'd give the thread a little boost up the pop charts with this gem. Seems like Aldi's Parking Department continues to impress!Ryan Bryanposted toAldi UK

Allowing for Good Friday and Bank Holiday Monday, it's been a working week since I asked...Does Aldi's contract with Parking Eye allow the latter to take Aldi customers to court.....Still no response. Did you think I'd give up. I owe it to thousands of scammed people all over the country (including Chorley) to continue to push this point.

Joshua Daniels and Babs Hunt like this.
Babs Hunt Just a little update - copy/pasted from my original post below: Aldi are absolute tw*ts.
I phoned customer services again today. Got put through to their 'Parking Department', and was spoken to in a horrible manner by a woman who told me that their car park signs are there for all to see and that they stand by their Parking Eye operators (they are about 15ft high, and I checked today, no way could I read them from the car, or even from outside the car, I'd have to climb in front of my car and up a bank to read them clearly, nor are there any signs to warn motorists as they drive into the car park that they have Parking Eye in operation). The English signs are above the Welsh signs, making them even harder to read. Anyways, having got no joy from customer services, I went to the store itself, where the manager was very nice, but still could not intervene and stop this fiasco.
I have sent Parking Eye a fifth email now.

After reading above, just had to re-check I'd posted on the correct thread - thought for a moment it might have been a G24 one.
