Aldi Facebook Page Kicking Off after Parking Eye LBAs

This was posted on there in a direct attack on those Aldi groupies who always parrot the phrase "it's your fault for parking too long":-
I do wish people would mind their own business when it comes to the time people take to shop. One day you may be a little slower than you are now, illness, disability or helping someone else to shop can slow you down as does shopping with children. How about stopping for a quick chat, or do we all have to bow our heads and charge around the store like a racing driver?. You maybe one day caught out by an unexpected event or simply delayed by the inability of Aldi to provide sufficient counter staff or manage their car parks effectively and remember, because of the inaccurate and now proven unenforceable way the car parks are manged with ANPR, the 30 minutes countdown begins as soon as the car park is entered and only ends when you leave the car park. Even on a good day, leaves around 25 minutes for shopping. Having said that, it's all a moot point, the courts are increasingly rejecting the PPCs right to make a profit in free car parks, questions are being asked by MPs of why the DVLA is releasing private data without reasonable cause and it is only a matter of time before there is a massive PPI type reclaim situation. You cannot help but think that landowners have brought this upon themselves by not wanting to manage their own car parks and believing the lies told by PPCs that they can outsource this 'service' at minimal cost. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0 -
Well I wonder how many will get a fake ticket for their troubles? Think I can see a parking eye sign there.
Nice video by Lidl on the bottom though lol

You can see Parking Eye rubbing their arms in glee with the number of fake tickets being issues, they might even have sent someone down to ticket cars parked outside marked bays/in disabled bays without worthless blue badges etc to boost their income before they are banned for taking people to court by the courts service and banned for getting keeper details from the DVLA.0 -
Bump,
Yet another PR disaster for Aldi. This time it seems many of their customers have been charged twice for their shopping. This could cause people to go into the red and incur bank charges. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0 -

When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

A couple of cracking quotes from Aldi FB.Ivor Pecheque Hi Tony, sometimes seems like I'm harping on a bit about parking at Aldi. Truth is, I actually quite like Aldi. The food's pretty good, the booze is good value, and I just love perusing the middle aisle. Okay, the electronic stuffs a bit naff, but you can't have it all. The Parking Eye thing though, is quite interesting. I reckon there are three types of Aldi shopper......those who travel by bus, those who have got a Parking Eye ticket, and those who have yet to get a Parking Eye ticket. Most people go through life avoiding the legal system. They pay their bills, and mostly, are quite honest. After all, the purpose of a robust legal system is for people to avoid it ! Then one day, an invoice lands on your doorstep-stooped in leagaleze, threats of "Court Action" and words such as "damages." The really sad thing, is that those most vulnerable just cough up. And, I reckon, these are the people who can probably least afford it. No-one can deny that Aldi have a right to manage their car parks as they wish, as long as they, and their partners, Parking Eye, keep within a legal (and some would say, moral), framework. And I'm sure some people take the mickey. The trouble is, some of these invoices end up on the steps of those more tenacious than most. And they then start looking into the legal framework-in detail. Then all of a sudden, things start to unravel. The charges don't seem to appear to hold any water. By this time, we've recieved a load of paperwork from Parking Eye, and it starts to put up the heckles. They start questionning your integrity and honesty, which put's up the heckles even more. All of a sudden, a ten minute overstay, becomes a major battle destined for the Courts. People are people, and suddenly think, hang on, I'm going to stick up for myself. After all if Aldi, and their partners, Parking Eye, use the law to their advantage, then we should use it to ours. So they start looking into planning and health and safety issues. Then you look into things in more detail, and realise that "irregularities" around Aldi witness statements, border on the edge of "illegality." Victims, at this stage get a little angry, so start spreading the word, (on forums such as this). Aldi supporters then get there backs up, and try and defend their position. Probably some of them are staff, and I have to respect their honesy and loyalty, (their profile pictures seem to be cute dogs with facial issues, but hey ho). Personally, I find that most of the Aldi staff are very helpful, and friendly. And that's my synopsis of a 10 minute overstayKevin Burt Priceless. Horsemeat, parking eye, misleading advertising, halal meat and now robbing your customers. Priceless. SWITCH AND SAVE!!!

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

I know this is mostly about Aldi but I found this on "post 1896"
Michael Freeman- Do The Range really expect my wife to shop at the Warrington branch ever again !!!!!!!! after spending £95 , £15 of it in the coffee shop for lunch with my 2 year old grandson which caused a slight delay in exiting the car park , now PARKING EYE are taking me to court for £165 plus costs , is this any way to treat genuine money spending customers , VERY UNHAPPY .

David Cronan- I am intrigued by that amount of £165. Did the case actually go to court or were you just issued with court papers and then paid up. The reason I ask is that PE's usual invoices vary between £60 and £100.
