Aldi Facebook Page Kicking Off after Parking Eye LBAs

Yep. Definitely picked the wrong victim in Mr Angel. His latest post.
'Please supply details of Thornton-Cleveleys store manager or PR manager at head office to enable the news team of local radio station to discuss your parking charges.'0 -
Bump.
Another ex Aldi customer:-
I took the Aldi challenge and my weekly shop cost me £50 more than Sainsburys. I had to wait for a parking space then wait again to change for a pound coin for the precious trolley, helped an old lady reach things, then shopped 98 items in an unknown store and waited again at the checkout. I spent £150 and was promptly penalised £70 for parking. I worked out they expected me to shop at a rate of less than 30 seconds per item. I am 57 years old. WHAT A CON! Not only that, my by hand letter to Mr Pa Bayo (Selsdon branch) on 27th Jan hasn't even been answered. How rude is that? I saw no signage in the car park, and even if I had, how are people supposed to shop at that rate? The time limit of one hour is totally ludicrous, unreasonable, and shows the worst business acumen I've ever come across. Talk about shoot yourself in the foot? I am disgusted they can't even be bothered to answer my letter, shows exactly how much they care about their customers. I will never shop at Aldi again, I would rather chew off my own arm. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0 -
It looks as though they have picked on yet another ex customer who not going to take this lying down. This after "Aldi's" anodyne "we are sorry" reply.:-
You're doing it again! You're completely missing the point! Isn't it enough that I have already had to compose a letter of objection and deliver it by hand only to have it ignored? I can only assume you are happy with that? Now you want ME to have to start all over? Does anybody in your company actually have any responsibility or is the entire shambles designed to pass the buck? (including your car park scam) I've run my own company for over 20 years and if my Manager ignored a client's letter he would be sacked on the spot. It seems your customers are just a nuisance to you doesn't it? Instead of addressing my problems, I am being passed around like a hot potato in the hope that I will give up. Shame on you Aldi. I shouldn't have to do this. My letter should have caused concern (in your own interests at the end of the day) and should have received immediate attention. You will find, upon research, that customers don't generally complain without good reason, and are therefore only ignored out of stupidity. Perhaps you should accumulate the tens of thousands 'your contractors' are conning out of people like myself who aren't interested in performing some bizarre supermarket sweep, and spend it on a meeting with Richard Branson in order to glean the necessary knowledge as to how to run a company.
P.S. I would also like to make it clear that I have no intention this side of Hell of paying your trumped up unreasonable, debatably illegal car park penalty for shopping at your store. I would frankly rather spend a weekend in Broadmoor. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0 -
Can anyone who looks at Aldi's FB page remember Sarah Smith ever using the word "chancer" when describing those people who get a Parking Eye ticket? She denies ever using that word, but she does delete a lot of her posts. I am sure she did use that word, otherwise why should I remember it? Your help would be appreciated. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

Hi guys, been watching your thread a lot since you guys helped me out last year with an Aldi parking ticket. I think the facebook page is great fun though I don't ever comment, its great to read! Trisontana, I think, although I haven't scrolled back, I remember someone called Gina Pryke or something like that, calling people chancers. I felt like decking her, dont know if you remember but I have an epileptic son and he had a seizure instore which caused me to run over time.0 -

KIL often takes screenshots, may be worth PM'ing him."The darkest places in hell are reserved for those who maintain their neutrality in times of moral crisis." - Dante Alighieri0 -

Post 1514 - 31 Jan 14. If nothing else it is why you remember it, no idea if she actually said it though.0 -
I see the mentions of Weber Shandwick; a PR company, who are apparently removing FaceBook posts.
Weber Shandwick on their own web site describe themselves thus "Whatever our many specialisms, at heart we are storytellers."
I think we all know what type of stories they are telling !!
"We build and protect brand and company reputations"
A reputation only needs protecting if there has been wrong doing !
"This is the era of engagement. New to some, but not to us."
Engagement, I wonder which definition of this word they mean ?
Definition :: a fight or battle between armed forces ?
Being a so called major multinational PR Company the grammar on some of the pages on their UK web site is appalling as well !!0 -
