.... and? What do you want us to say?

You've said what you've had to say, so I don't particularly want you to say anything else thank you. I don't need someone being sarcastic and snidey when I am upset and confused enough as it is.

do you have any sort of counselling alongside the medication for your anxiety and depression? you remind me very much of someone I know who also has anxiety who will go over and over the same situation for most likely years upon end. it's not 'normal' to worry this much about it especially since it's been 5 months and I just wonder if talking to someone professional about it might help, especially as you aren't willing to contact the police yourself and sort it out.

    :)

3 pages and everybody has been saying the same thing. You won't know until you ask! You've done nothing wrong, you won't get into trouble (perverting the course of justice? lol You may be watching too much TV!).

If you can't do that, then don't and keep on worrying. There's nothing else anyone can say.

Nope not any more. I was with CAMHS until I was sixteen then I saw a psychiatrist through my doctor but it didn't help. Then my doctor decided I needed someone to talk to regularly and I saw a counsellor up until September 2012. I can't really face talking about what happened to me to another counsellor or psychiatrist to be honest and at the minute I'm the lowest I've been so I can't really face going out apart from to work and I only work three days a week. :/ my boyfriend is supportive though and him and my mum are like what are you so worried about, but it just brings back bad memories of when I was fourteen and had to speak to a police woman about something that happened. I know it isn't about that though because I asked the detective and she said she didn't know anything about any past incidents just the thing in 2009/2010. I'm just hoping it wasn't the real police.. x

Yes if the person she spoke to, it would be. but why do the police record their interviews, why give a caution?

Because they know that there is no evidence, outside of his or her 'word', and thats not enough!

So could the phone call be used against me if it was recorded? Or does the fact the phone call wasn't under caution and I hadn't seen ny ID mean that it would be dismissed as evidence? If its real police obviously lol.

It is not "snidey" or "sarcastic" to point out that we cannot know the circumstances of this case... nor were any of the posters here witness to your interactions with the police over this matter.

There is nothing anyone can really do to help - you need to either contact the police to address your anxiety or to forget it.

The contant questions to people who are only anwering with guesses (well meaning but mostly based on arm-chair law gained from the telly) will not help alleviate you being "upset and confused".

    This poster is right...

So, take the advice given in both threads and follow this up with the only ones that can help to put your mind at rest - the police.

This endless to-ing and fro-ing of posts isn't going to solve anything as none of us knows the facts of the case.

Call them... it's the only way to clear this up.

    I agree with this.

People are trying to give you advice here, I dont think anyone is being snidey or sarcastic

    You either

    1 Call them
    2 Consign it to history

Fretting about every little thing is not going to help you

Ive suffered from anxiety and depression in the past and I know how the small things can end up being something you worry about, but the only person getting upset about this right now is you.

Its not worth the worry, either you let it go or you speak to them because you are concerned you lied.

There is nothing to hold against you, stop being dramatic, you told a white lie to the 'police' you do not even know for a fact if that person was who they told you they were, you googled their name and foundout they were a policeman/woman, I could have done that and called you pretending to be that person.

Do you know it was not me who called you? NO you don't you are making huge assumptions about something that you can sort out right now by making one phone call.

The police will have had people tell them lies before.

If it was important then they would have come back to your house another time when they would hope to find you at home.

THE POLICE DO NOT HAVE TIME TO MAKE UP STORIES IN ORDER TO FRIGHTEN PEOPLE.

If you are still worrying about this after 5 months then I suggest you get yourself back to your Drs and explain it all to them as you probably do need some intervention again from mental health services.

I am not saying this to be unkind, but it is time to move on with your life and leave this behind you. You have 2 choices really.
    1. Phone 101 and ask to speak to someone who will be able to explain what happened.
    2. Speak to your Dr and ask for a referral to mental health services as you appear to be unwell.

I wish you well, but unless you deal with this now, it will still be causing you anxiety 10 years from now and people will still be unable to offer any real help.
:) Been here for a long time and don't often post
