    Good morning all

I have S&Sed the bathroom and kitchen and tidied the living rooms and bedroom this morning. I have also finished sending out emails to friends about our change of address. Just some letters and phonecalls to be done now...

The gas man/plumber and his son have started work in the utility, putting up a sink unit and installing pipework and drains for the sink, washing machine, and new boiler when it comes.

DH has set up our new £4.99 wireless doorbell from @ld1 - it plays a wonderful non-ignorable fairground-type tune :D

My shoulder is less painful today, but I shall stick to computing and not attempt any gardening, apart from passing the cut-down privet bush over the back fence for DH to take to the tip.

Good luck to your BiL, CY - hope they have good weather for the long ride.

bossy I would keep your hair long for the holiday so you can tie it up & keep it off your face & neck, but maybe try a wash-in-wash-out colour? Then when you get back as pigpen suggests get the advice of a hairdresser, take along lots of pictures of styles you like. HTH x

    Today's plan:
Hang out washing when WM finished
    Unload & reload DW
    General tidy
Get DD to tidy the gubbins she has left around
Get DD to make list of stuff she will need for 6th form
    Put old veg boxes out
    Recycling
    Sweep kitchen floor
    Update diary & calendar

    Off I go!

    Oh my... I am broken!!!

I have vacuumed the middle room.. OH has just gone to pick up DD1 and Spam.. we are having his birthday today.. he is 1 on Sunday. So.. I picked up toys and vacuumed so he doesn't eat all the bits from the floor!

Nails pretty, Moomins prescription picked up so she is sorted for the next 7 weeks until it all starts up again *cry* Oh to have a competent surgery!

I also got some wool.. I went to check if mine was in, which it isn't, and ended up with 2 balls of white for the baby and a ball of purple to knit DD1 a jumper for Christmas.. :D

I have a fairly dodgy tummy today.. as does Squeak.. so all is fun in here.. poofest galore!

My sister is here.. not sure what I did to deserve this but she didn't volunteer to vacuum either

Does it work? We need a new bell, but they always play up! They go off at all times of day & night when there is nobody there, and then won't work when somebody is at the does! If it works I will get one :)

I 'lost' yesterday taking DD1 to my mums & walking the dog, then getting very, very wound up with a customer support rep for a website I was thinking about signing up to (at a cost). Very unhelpful, patronising & rude!! It quite upset me really. I plan to phone them today & complain. The whole 'conversation' was by email, but they have a copy of it on their site, so I will let them see what they think. I am in 2 minds whether to bother with it now (it is for my work). If they offer me a few months for free I may think about it ;)

Today, dog has been walked, shopping shopped, DW done & emptied. Child collected from play school & eating lunch. Need to get ready for the school run now (an early one on Fridays). We may go to the park :)

I will catch up later. Hugs, sticks & spoons to those that need them x

Big BD has just bitten DH :( He has just had an email re the job he went for and they are unable to offer it to him because of pre-employment checks weren't satisfactory :( This is obviously a problem for us as this will effect every job he goes for. It is just as well that his first counselling session is next week as I think he will need it.

Kids picked up & happily drawing at the table. We decided not to go to the park because it will be wet.

I think I will try & tackle some paperwork later, and maybe advertise for some more work. I was holding off as the spare time I had in the day I could use by visiting my mum & helping her out. If DH is not working, he can do this (he has more patience with SD anyway).

Oh no sorry to hear that, GI.

Took littlies to home bargains so they've stocked up the snack cupboard, and no asking for toys :T plus they were nice to each other and held hands :A

So we then went swimming which was good, DS is full of confidence in the water now, just flings himself around, launches himself from the side and generally gets on with it. DD is a bit more reserved but still happy to bob around and "float" a lough she spends most of her time on the wide steps (usually toys and watering cans etc). We even had lunch in the cafe - not very MSE, I must be in a good mood ;)

I've been upstairs and done their rooms so got bedding to wash. But skirtings are wiped down etc, everything tidy, floors done and pjs folded :T whilst I did that DS was watching "horrid Henry" and DD has fallen asleep on the sofa. Her little curls have gone all springy :A

Just putting my feet up for 10 then will check my list...

Flitting about upstairs, oh is it dusy but as it will be covered in brick dust next week there seems little point in cleaning it.

back from a day's 'overtime' *kerching - well *kerching* for the end of July;)

have developed an insane desire to clean up. Probably something to do with the state of Valli towers, if I'm honest;)

but I did two washloads this morning and pegged them out when I got in. I have had a long cool dring (irn bru no less:rotfl:) and a snack and am now inspired.

So Valli's mad hour or so

    strip beds; open windows
    clean bathroom
make my bed; dust and vacuum my bedroom
    put ironing away

I won't bit off more than I can chew...join in if you feel like it!

    it's now 19:13

bathroom cleaned inc window; floor drying
beds stripped, 1 lot of bedding in WM ready to peg out in the morning
pots handwashed as I wanted to wash toothbrush pot and glass from bathroom (it's acrylic to cannot go in the DW); cat pots now soaking
bedroom carpet handbrushed as it was ginger instead of beige;)
Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY
