found out my sis hubby walked out on her and kids and I'm 250 mile away so useless to her argh

    Oh no! What a nightmare!

DD has had a 90min kip. She won't go to bed nicely tonight (might let them have an extra half hour) but at least she won't be grumpy all afternoon. They are just out in the garden eating ice pops. Looks like it will rain again here.

I really ought to frame myself... The ironing will wait till tomorrow as ther is still stuff drying, but I ought to pick a corner to tackle. Might go in the dining room and have a sort in the cabinet. If I clear one side, I can put my fabric stash in which means less tat in the garage.

    Go, go, go! :rotfl:

    Me Me Me time

Have sort of gone my own way today so far - managed Monday OK, but Tuesday and Wednesday usually get swapped round, and they did again this week. Have cleaned the toilet and sink, but the remainder of this morning and up until 2.15 pm has been spent in the living room (again) and I am chuffed to little bits with the outcome! There is still some more to do in there, but if I can do as well this afternoon as I have this morning, I'll be more than c to little bits. My get up and go hasn't been particularly brilliant over the last few weeks, and when I woke up this morning, I thought it still wasn't - but something must have been there. Anyway, here endeth my Me Me Me time - back to the Living Room!

    Hello everyone

Big (((hugs))) to Skint and posivibes to your DD for willpower to stop smoking.
More (((hugs))) to CY and posivibes to your DH.
    GWS to mrs-mp

We are settling into our new home well but still living out of boxes, as there's lots of work to be done by gas heating engineer/plumber, electrician and builder.
This may take some months
Tomorrow the gas man/plumber is going to fit a water supply, drain and sink unit in the utility so that I can put the WM in there with the TD and have space in the temporary kitchen for the DW.
I can't do much flying anyway as I have a horrendous flare-up of what is presumably arthritis, particularly in my right shoulder, right knee and both hands. My shoulder was made much worse this morning when a pile of lids off plastic storage boxes fell on to my right shoulder from a not-very-great height, apparently landing on their edges on the slope oh my shoulder, and it is now even more painful than usual, though hopefully not broken. So flying is out of the question for a few more days - not that there are many bare surfaces without boxes stacked on them!

    Ouch ionafan that sound painful

Sorted dining room cabinet but fabric stash too big to fit :o found some broderie though, enough to make DD a nightie for her hols. Also a big strip of sarong-type fabric that I might be able to muddle into a sun shade / sail type of thing for the garden, if I can peg it to the conservatory and the apple tree :D it'll look as daft as a daft thing but will provide some shade. Not that we need it today!

Made kids picnic tea, DD has wandered off though... DS has scoffed his and now tucking into jelly we made this morning.

Kids helped me shred some papers and the rest is sorted ready to go back in the filebox. Shredded has gone in green bin.

Decluttering more :coffee: then I will decide what to do with the pile of toddler artwork I've found. DS is currently telling me what's going to happen to his dinner (yuck) we watched some videos on kidshealth.org earlier as he wanted to see what was inside his tummy, lol

    Evening all.

Just popping my head in for a rant so please feel free to ignore.:mad:

    [RANT ON]
Last month Ex and I closed the claim with the CSA after repeated problems due to the council payroll department messing up the payments to the CSA and therefore meaning I've not been receiving the money until nearly a month after Ex is paid/not at all/the wrong amount. February they took DOUBLE child support which was then paid to me in stages, April they took none (ex paid me direct), May they took none (ex paid me direct again) and we closed the claim as we're sick of the messing around. Out of 56 payments I should have received since Nov 2008, 9 have been significantly late for no reason (I make allowances for bank holidays/Xmas etc), one of which was 2 MONTHS late, 13 have arrived the following month but before the "late" date) and then there is this years mess which is ongoing since February.

The CSA sent out 3 letters on the 28th May stating that the case was completely closed to myself, ex and the council payroll department. Today Ex got paid. Payroll have taken a CS payment from him :mad: He's been on to them and payroll deny any knowledge of the case being closed. He got on to the CSA and they said they'd get on to Payroll and sort it out as the case is definitely closed. CSA have now got back to Ex, they can't Fax a letter to payroll as the fax number isn't working, so they're trying email now. In a week Ex has to contact them to confirm they have received it. CSA have said that payroll have already sent the money to them (which is unusual as normally they don't send it until later in the month according to the last conversation we had with them) so now we have to wait for the CSA to refund Ex before he can pay me. Payroll say it takes 5 working days for the money to transfer, CSA transfers take 3 days, Ex to me is 2 hours! So it looks like I won't be getting the money until July! Its a blooming good job I have savings I can transfer to cover the bills on the 1st, otherwise I'd be going £200 overdrawn  I'm also glad I have the cash on hand to pay for groceries etc otherwise we'd be in a right mess

I am seriously considering putting in a formal complaint about this, but I have no idea where to start since the problems go back august 2009 :mad:
    [Rant over]

I best get on with my work as I have a deadline to meet.
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.
Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!

If decanting food into bags to free up space in a freezer drawer in order to cram in more homemade soup counts as decluttering a drawer, I have actually done a whole day's Fly List. *woot* to quote Valli as I often find myself doing these days.

Now to settle down to the finale of Series 4 of the The Good Wife with my homemade fish pie and virtuous face ....
    Better is good enough.
