Up at 4.30 this morn - unbearable heat through the night and to hot through the day at the mo ..... seems this pattern is set to continue for some time - very high temperatures expected here again :eek:

Lots of bats around last night - think they are feasting well on all them night bug critters flying n fluttering around

Just out in a wee while ff to do the watering etc but must admit parts of the garden are looking a tad limp with lack of moisture and grass is turning a 'nice' brown colour! :eek:

Nice and cool in the livingroom this morning for the time being but sun coming out and was hot in the bedroom. Loving the heat though - have usually been abroad at this time of the year so glad we aren't this year.
Hope everyone has a lucky week. I didn't win anything last week so hoping for something this week

Yep ff, think you may be right about impending hosepipe ban. :eek:

It's lovely to see the sunshine, but I find the nights a wee bit hard going .......

However, went out earlier in jalopy down to village (to hot to walk!) and posted a birthday card and then treated myself to a punnet of locally grown strawberries. They look and smell delicious so looking forward to having them later with some yog.

Was bit worried about jalopy cos he has not been too happy of late, but this morning he behaved, much to my relief!!! Maybe he has been sulking cos not washed him of late and he's covered in cobwebs, dust and a bit of bird poop here and there :eek::eek::o

Think first chore v early tomorrow (when cooler) will be to get the bucket etc out and give it a nice pampering session! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: xxx

Don't have much luck with doorbells. My latest cordless plug-in doesn't ring lately for callers (RM, Take-away etc) but ok when I press it!:eek:

I opt between wired & cordless but the push too often goes ker put:eek:
