I decided to come back today as I didn't have a great nights sleep and wanted to have a lie in tomorrow rather than get up early as my friend is working tomorrow.

I bought a lovely jumper in Topman reduced from £18 to £3 (I then showed them my uni card and got it for £2.70, I'm not a student but work at a uni). Also purchased a nice polo shirt in the Bench store reduced from £25 to £7 but they didn't do student discounts on sale items but it was still a great bargain :)

We went out for a meal yesterday for a friend's birthday (her choice of venue) and the food was fairly expensive for a pub but I managed to get a pizza for £6 as they had a special menu for NHS staff (I work for a medical department of a uni and also have an NHS card!). The pub we went to an the previous night had two meals for £8 but they were not of cheap quality and I was very impressed with my meal :)

My friends always laugh at how much money I save with shopping, boot sales, free stuff, competitions, etc and are always asking me for advice - my top tip was that if you need any winter clothes look for them on ebay now as nobody will be looking for them in this weather and i got my brand new winter coat last summer, with a £65 tag on it, for £6.50 in total :)

I'd like to see your photos. (Perhaps others might kindly post their pets' photos too?)

And yes, I agree. They are extra intelligent and very crafty! I remember someone saying that he thought Siamese were sort of a cross between a cat, a dog, and a monkey! Mine have always fetched (their favourite usually being runner beans, for some reason...) And when you have two, the fun really begins. I had a chocolate point and a lilac tabby point several years ago, and one would open the cupboard door in the kitchen and hold it open while the other would attempt to steal food out of the cupboard! They managed to get hold of the remains of our Christmas turkey one year by one of these methods...

Will try and do the pics when I get a few spare minutes but I am so behind with the comps as have had the GD all weekend and the family all day.

Talking about them pinching things, we had one of those egg dishes on our work surface. Anyway we couldn't work out how the eggs were disappearing until we came in one day and caught her pawing one out of the dish and knocking it across the surface until it fell on the floor then got down and eat it.

Alfie and iluvcats have cats and I bet they can tell a few tales as well.

Thanks for the info on Beefeater Sheils but obviously they have al gone now as I have only just seen your post.

Paddzer you sure can sniff out a bargain, well done.

I could do with winning a bottle of Vodka now firefly as finished mine last week. It has lasted since Christmas so can't complain. Fred still has the bottle of rum he won back end of last year so he's OK for now.
Need to go and water my garden now.

Glad you had a nice day Katie.

Anyone know where we can get a pair of Converse All Star Ox Floral pumps for less than they want at Bank Fashion at £50 + £1.95 postage? My 14 yr old GD wants them. I think it is an outrageous price to pay for what looks to me like a pair of pumps but hey I am just a Gramdma!

Forget it folks she has changed her mind and now wants the Doc Martins ones which are £90 - I give up

Think thats the price Sylvia! They were slightly cheaper on Rubbersole but not a lot. Hate shopping for shoes with DD but she has a nose for bargains - don't know who she gets it from.:D
