Sounds like you need a bit of fun on your life. I find being with people helps.you cannot afford to travel to your voluntary work but is there anything else nearer . Getting out on the sun, or listening to happy music helps me. XIf you don't leap, you'll never know what it is to fly :heartpuls0

What duckeggblue said is good too
And yes, I never thought about you being a member for 4 years, so you wouldn't still be 38. LOL

I am so sorry to hear that you are feeling so low. I know how depressing it can be when you are looking for a job and you keep being rejected.
The really positive thing is that you are getting interviews which is not easy to do in this climate. Did you find out why you were rejected after the interviews? If not, then I think it is important that you do so.
What kind of work are you looking for?0 -

I' ve just read the comment below about happy music. It will also help if you watch comedies to lift your mood and avoid too much time watching the news.0

Thanks for the positive message.:D
I agree and that is why I took up my new hobby last year. I now do archery, not too far from where I live and it is one of my friends who lent me a bow and arrows. I can go most days if I want but as I said earlier, the weather has been rubbish (I can't shoot in the cold because of my condition). I have made new friends but not anyone I'm close to yet. There are men, most attached, but the single ones all drool over my friend even though she has a boyfriend."The best things in life are free"

He has offered to help but I won't accept as I don't want them to know how bad it is.
Do you mean that your ex has offered to help? If so, you need to swallow your pride and let him. You have done amazingly over the last few years and have achieved more than most people could ever do given the circumstances. But you have to accept help when you need it whether it is food vouchers or help from your ex.0 -
Supermum38 - Sorry to hear about all your problems. Try visiting your local supermarkets at reduced times in the evening. You should be able to get some lovely food at much lower prices to feed your hungry teenagers. I find using this system you get much nicer food than the basic supermarket ranges and for less money and can really look forward to meal times and see how much further you money can go. It can give you a real buzz going to the whoopsie counter and seeing how much you can get for very little money.0

For both jobs I received an email saying "I had been unsucessful but that they were unable to give individual feedback due to the number of applicants." One friend assured me that it is just the number of people applying and that they have 'the pick of the crop'.
Sometimes I think I only get the interview because I tick the disability box?"The best things in life are free"

No I meant my eldest son. He has officially left home. My ex would be laughing if he knew how I was struggling. We have a 12 year CSA case which he just appealed again. If he finds out my eldest is trying to help me by staying there he'll just send him back."The best things in life are free"
