Just Text Alfie... her Mum is still in Hospital, broken cheek bone, broken ribs... so Alfie is here, there, an everywhere..
She cant remember what happened, but she can remember the lovely day at LIR'sWork to live= not live to work0 -
Rummer I do find that being outside is really helpful & healthy for body & soul. I get ratty if I'm confined to quarters for any length of time. Being out, getting down & dirty with the dirt is great. I love getting mucky - which is just as well. Hope things settle well for you all soon.
Plumbing started on Rayburn & advice on where they will run all the pipes & talked over boiler & header tanks & well...... OH did, I just made the coffee. Seems we have loads of big holes to drill, but we can get a shot of someone's big, angled drill - so that should be fun............
All n all & good day all round.
Picked up some cheap bulbs at LIDL - Giant sputnicks things white alliums & gorgeous Hyacinth Crimson colours - 4 bulbs for £1.79 cheap or what?0 -
CTC, thank you for checking in with Alfie and for letting us all know how her mum is doing. Fingers crossed she makes a swift recovery.Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0

CTC - Thanks for letting us know. Pass on all our best wishes. What a shame. Hope Her Mum is comfortable.0

Remembering is good, and that sounds like a great memory for all concerned.
A similar thing happened to a friend of ours, who went abroad for the summer. She flew home as soon as she could, preferring the care here. Still looks like she's done a few rounds with Ali, but again, her memory's all right.
Hope alfie can slow down a bit now. I didn't say 'relax,' 'cos I know that's unlikely!0 -
My son is practising screaming today. He is not upset just enjoying the new noise he can make. I am not enjoying the new noise he can make, it has been a long day.Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0

Rummer.... this is just the start of it, they carry on screaming, but the screaming ends up being swear words lol...
hopefully Rumlet will get bored of it soon..Work to live= not live to work0 -
I don't remember the screaming, but then, like all first-born, DD1 was perfect! :rotfl:
DD2 didn't say anything or make noises for a very long time, so we'd have been pleased with the occasional scream at that age. Only her eyes told us someone was home.
Our friend's four 'non-laying' hens on holiday here are liking their environment. We have a box of 6 eggs to give her tomorrow! :rotfl:0 -
It has just been a draining day trying to look after the sick folk with a background of ear piercing screams. Rumlet is however incredibly pleased with himself and his new skills :rotfl:
To cheer myself up I have just made a plum crumble with plums from the garden and I am so looking forward to snaffling it with lashings of custard
CTC you are the apron expert and I am considering a new apron after the sad demise of my last one. Now I need to decide whether to go for material, PVC and whether a full or a short one would be better. What is your preference and why????:)Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0
