Have a look at the last picture on this blog CTC. Not exactly the same but similar and might give you some ideas? I love how your ranch is looking, very beautiful.
  • thanks for the links etc of the stuff I need to use..

FAY... I feel the 'bit in the middle' where the fire goes, is missing, so I think I might need to put something here, plus I feel a cast plinth might me missing to run front to back on the opp side to the Oven..

As Hubby said we can allways put a dog basket in the middle for now, plus see if there is a way of putting the pot 'swing arm' in.

I think I got a broody quail lol...

CTC it will look lovely whatever you do with it. You could always have lots of pillar candles in the fire part to give an effect of fire, that looks lovely in an open fire. I did it in my last house in the bedroom as we didn't have the proper part for that either.

Oh dear, looking at that blog, I realise I'm a Philistine. :o:o

We're ripping out our Aga :eek::eek:...

We're not replacing it with a range cooker of any description, just a hob and a couple of ovens. :p

Davesnave make sure you take it out properly and then plonk it on the bay... might be worth taking photos of it in situ.. so you can use those pics to advertise it..

fingers crossed we will have 3 fires...

the rayburn that hopefully will run the central heating, which will be in the kitchen/slob out room

The fireplace with the bread oven, which we will have as an open fire ( fingers crossed) in the front room, and then the lovely wood burner fire in the back room...
