LIR - sorry you meant the roof - the eaves have to be done & a couple of edges, but it looks really great, really interesting shapes & angles.

We still have the wood cladding to finish too. OH has been pretty unwell, so it's not been a straight forward year.

Lovely fossil IHS - or pretend one. Looks great.

Its ok, I'm just wondering when you might be in, to at least a standard as good as the caravan.....if you could get the kitchen and a bathroom working, you'd hardly know yourselves!

My DD's bathroom is working, only a week since she moved in! :)
No sign of a kitchen yet, and the boiler needs a part, but she sounds reasonably upbeat.

They let their cats outside for the first time today....and they came back! For their cats, that's really good. When they come here, they go walkabout for a day at a time.;)

We were always digging up fossilised ammonites at our old place, IHS. Only the small ones were intact. Here, I just dig up old iron and baler twine. :(

Yes, where has time gone, alfie? We'll have been living here 5 years in a couple of weeks' time.

I hope that with some plumbing stuff happening soon it won't be too long.

I feel I'll go Gaga if we don't get a shift on before the Winter.

We rely on the building industry for our business & thankfully it does seem to be picking up so that will ease us a little having money coming in.

well my nuts are dangling and now dropping off, but on close inspection, they have been nibbled good and proper. bloody squirrels...

In reality the amount of Hazel/cob nuts we have every year, we should have bucket fulls, but the squirrels, always get to them before us..

piddled down all night... and I think they have given it for most of the day..

does anyone know the weather forecast for the stratford upon avon area for the end of the week, and the weekend???

Choille, fingers crossed with the house, in getting some of it done, so you can move in..

got extra money coming in from selling some of my hoarded stuff, but it all seems to be going on general day to day living and bills, let alone trying to put money aside for the ranch...

right better get off and o some work...

They think rain for Stratford on Friday, clearing up by Saturday, but they are guessing a bit, with the remains of hurricane Bertha reaching us around the weekend.

No sign of squirrels yet. Like magpies, they are around, but not in quantity. Mr Dog has his uses! :)

A local farmer's wife was surprised to hear that we have badgers on the land. She thought all the 'black & white foxes' had been shot near here. Ooops! :o

Still, that didn't stop a fox wiping-out a neighbour's hens and ducks recently. Local knowledge is that it's feeding cubs. My knowledge suggests the enclosure was a bit ramshackle. ;)

You probably need a squirrel harvest first? Corvid traps?
