should have photo bombed his Davesnave...lol..
Alfie.... do you know anywhere, where we can get old/reclaimed floor boards? got to be nice old ones.. for a cheap price lol...
I have heard new ones are crap, and old nice ones are uber expensive... even if I can only afford to floor board the bedroom, and board the bathroom..Work to live= not live to work0 -
Well, I don't think anywhere should have fracking whether it's a National Park or a city park. I don't believe it's safe, nor necessary.
Amazing heat & amazing deluge & thunder storms later on. Did wonder as I was preparing salad at the aluminium sink if it was safe as it was incredibly noisy & close. The water was over the bridge in the night & today has been so very heavy all the waterfalls are streaming down - great to see from the big winda in the house build, but the fields are sopping.
Got A hand with Rayburn & wah haaa it is now sitting where it aint gonna be shifted from ....hopefully. Not on an inner wall, but on an outer where we'll save £500 on flue & bends costs. The house should be warm with all the insulation we're crambing in.
The flies about today were horrid & the sheep spent most of the day in their byre.
Great closing do dah of the games - Glesga did us proud.0 -

Hurrah for the Rayburn.
How is that roof looking choille? Dare I ask?
Poor you lucielle.0 -
Oh dear, lucielle, you and your DH are in the wars at present! Let's hope you both get the health problems sorted, so that you can enjoy what's left of summer.
Not much to report here. It's been a reasonable day weather-wise, but there's been a string of problems and distractions, so not that much achieved.
For example, I lit the bonfire, whizzed up the road to pick up a dumpy bag of leylandii trimmings for a friend in need, and by the time I got back the wind had reversed. Not that I noticed, until I'd filled the garden with acrid smoke.
It's going the 'right' way again now.0 -
Sorry about that Lucielle. Hope they get it diagnosed & treated quickly.
LIR - It looks grand, but I need to buy new chrome lids & a new rail as the ones on are rusted only because a blanket was put over it 15 years ago & the roof leaked keeping the water on top of it - other than that it looks spanking new. What a honey it is & we got it at a brilliant deal.
Just back in & the sky is ominous. Need to catch some lambs for some pour on as the flies are everywhere.0 -
What colour is it?

Something for all year interest in the garden...:D0

I'd show you a picture of my nuts, but it doesn't look suitably impressive.....:o
Titter ye not!I'm talking hazels here! :pThe trees by the stream are gobsmackingly laden down with fruit, and even the whips on the hedge I laid the winter before last have a very respectable crop too.
It's the same with most of the apples. No June drop and I was too busy/lazy to thin them. Again, branches on the ground in places.
Plums are a mixed bag. No greengages though. We had them one year, otherwise I wouldn't know we had them.0 -
