    Freezers are superb things. :D.

Meat looks superb. Alfie was telling me I didn't have to take all the bacon.....:rotfl: I know its gonna be good! I'm really looking forward to cooking some this weekend.

I'm going to use some bacon first because I'm making feta, bacon and pumpkin seed muffins as part of hangover breakfast.

LIR - do you like Gunneras? They are very spiky too? They grow like weeds here., although mine is a tad spindly having being frozen solid for two Winters a while back.

I toyed with planting gunnera down near the stream, but I've decided the area isn't large enough to take it, and dark enough already.

The stream area planting hasn't been a huge success..... yet. I'm partly helped by nature filling-in the gaps, but the ferns that thrive there hide other things once they get going. Biggest success so far are astrantias and arum lillies, but there are geraniums and other plants slowly colonising, despite being trashed by the sheep early on.

Speaking of sheep I noticed that among the huge herd my neighbour brought in to tame his field, was at least one goat. The one I saw was standing with its front feet on the fence, eating the hedge.

Just wondering if said goat, or goats, are a one-off or a new idea. If they find they can scale the neighbour's new fencing at some time, our copse will be in trouble.....:(
