    I've been Money Tipped!
Village events are doing my head in. I have seven tickets of my share to sell left to sell for an event I. The village and you'd think the sky was falling in. They aren't going to sell, (and I have committed a terrible sin by not selling them in the right ticket order. ...don't have the heart to tell them its because I couldn't read the wiring on the day I first sold them so ruined my sequence with my very first sale. )

Everyone seems a bit put out I'm not volunteering to do more but I'm not going to explain why ( I don't LOOK that I'll). They were saying 'help behind the bar a lot tonight, and in truth , I'd enjoy that if I'm feeling steady on my pins, but if I'm not it will be a disaster and if I have committed I'll be stressed and more likely to be unwell and unsteady, whereas if I don't commit I can probably relieve someone for half an hour or so. Also, its late at night, so I am quite likely to be blind in at least one eye if I am tired by then. :)

We had a sprinkle of rain sometime overnight, but mostly dry here too. OH reckons we can at least skip watering the lottie tonight. Still too much to do before we go away, but in the end we'll just go I expect otherwise we'll never get away! ;)

Had visit this afternoon from friends we've not seen for over 2 years! First time they saw our new home and garden. Short visit as have family arriving later today (they live in Stockport). Lots of sad news about mutual friends. :( But it was nice to catch up a bit and hopefully we'll see them again rather sooner, maybe even at the caravan.

Here's embarrassed daughter with laughing Lord Mayor of Liverpool yesterday!

LIR I think it is wonderful that you volunteer at all when you have so much going on with the renovations and animals not to mention your health.

MaggieWhat a lovely photo, sounds as if you all had a fabulous day.

DaveFrustrating that it cost so much to confirm what you already knew, good though that it is manageable without causing your cat too much inconvenience.

AlfieHow exciting that you are going flying :j I have a few friends that have tried it and they all loved it, one went on to get his own license. Great to hear how well Ruby is coming on, it is testament to all your hard work and care that she is becoming so confident and trusting.

Well the rain here was dramatic and short lived. There was thunder and lightening and lashings of rain for just over an hour and then nothing. At least it gave the garden a good soaking so hopefully we can make a start on clearing the borders.

Ah that is all an illusion, I just haven't posted about the numerous cups of herbal tea and the biscuits consumed while watching TV dramas ;)
