Anyhow, my garden is now full to bursting with plants, no space for anything else. However, there's loads of plants coming on in the coldframe so this is a problem...I am going to ask the neighbours if I can 'overspill' into the border that separates our front drives.:D
We'll...if you have it and you spend it its spreading the wealth in it. Good for them. I would if I could!
Davesnave, I have a favourite but I'll not tell which, Beautiful babies, beautiful.0 -
LIR... why don't you ask a local restaurant about their empties?? how many bottles do you think you will need??
Alfie the garden looks beautiful..... CONGRATUALTIONS on your entrance into 'The' Club.. lol..Work to live= not live to work0 -
Still reading and following your adventures however too lazy to garden at the momentTaking responsibility one penny at a time!0

Just been looking at the June forecast for Glasgow - the sun certainly hasn't got his hat on
No surprise it's the Jacob's ladder, Ligularia 'The Rocket' and astilbe which are growing most strongly in the wet!0 -

.. lol..
Umm, I dunno. Isn't slow and through acquisition part of the game to these things? I could ask the pub.
Quite a few.. DH said I wasn't allow to start pilfering from bottle banks. I fancy some blue ones. The three green ones look a bit depressing. The odd blue one should perk it up, but it think I can get them in water bottles and glug them myself.
I probably will start begging,0 -

Siigh, that and your triumphant arch. We have two slightly uneven height sticks with a gate propped up against them ATM. ( wd40 being applied to gate hinge weekly so we can knock it out, get it working or fix new ones and hang the gate. but it aint't shifting
We're also trying to collect wine bottles for edging. In a household where I don't drink, so DH barely drinks and the resident parent is pretending doesn't drink, so we have three so far. :rotfl:
do you want me to collect all the wine bottles from the wedding ?? can do :rotfl:0 -

Rozee - welcome back. Two years in a caravan is nought.......! :-)
Hope things go well - sounds like you're cracking on with it.
Lovely photos Alfie. Gorgeous Hoss.
Wish you would come & rescue a little Shetland that has been stuck in a field on it's own for years & years. I see it every time we go over East & it looks so depressed.
Had another lamb unexpectedly! Last year's lamb that the tup got to! It's titchy but is runnin with the big lambs - such a little bullet of a thing.
Been awake since 5am - so light & noisy with all the birds & baas - but the midgies are horrendous as it's been quite wet. Over cast,so an indoors day unless I want eaten alive.
A question for all you painters. I got some 'new' kitchen cabinets off Gumtree & I've painted them with eggshell, but it seems porous - will mark. It's water based paint, but it said suitable for wood. Could I treat it with anything - wax to help seal it?0 -
Dave They are gorgeous
AlfieI can't believe how grown up she looks now, how is the handling coming on?
Rozee Glad it is all going well!
Well my neighbours have made their garden and house look so fabulous that I slunk outside today and tidied up the path and drive of ours. Still struggling to get the front beds cleared and they look grim however the rest is better and I will tackle them another day!
The weeds are rampant due to the heavy rain then sunshine combination however I am working hard to get it all cleared. The next reasonable day I am going to use the pressure washer :j:j:jTaking responsibility one penny at a time!0 -

We fitted-in a builder today though. We've known him for decades, and he's almost family, so we have greater than average confidence. He's only recently returned to building, having done other things, but it's a sort of retirement job, so no VAT etc.
Anyway, although he still has to quote, our friend builder was more use in an hour than the architect has been in years of designing & tweaking. He soon picked-up and ran with an idea I'd had, so we now have a cunning plan, which could ultimately get us some of the extended bit we decided to ditch, at a very reasonable cost.
Not only that, but I will get a man cave! :j0
