    Ouch lir. Lots of poorlies.

Big dog had enough energy to chase cat, cat has been not right since, and it think that's upset THAT AppleCart,

. Big dog, not to be trusted with cats or chickens but, though of course I wouldn't, you could leave a baby with her safely.

Was Bigdog the one who you once found with a bird in the mouth?

    Yes. :(.

I never trust her alone with birds. Her prey drive is really strong and while she won't even try with pink whistley cat, mauve squeaker she has chased a few times. Pink whistle would turn round and hit her probably, Squeaker runs and panics badly.

Though big dog is lovely she is not easy. She was adult when we got her. She has got a LOT better. Which is also a bit depressing.

    :j I got garden time :j

Another bed half cleared which is great! I have also been scheming big plans for the garden that are child related. We are going to make a mud kitchen and on one of our trees I am going to put in a fairy door and build a wee fairy garden round it :D we are also going to turn the end of one of the sheds into an outdoor chalk board. There is a sandpit ready to be built too. I think I will be hunting out more ideas too!

The lupins have been massacred just as I was warned, they are covered in slime trails what little is left of them :( I might put some egg shells round them but I don't know if they can be saved. What else of that height could I put in a sunny bed that will not be eaten?

I still think you should hatch and rear a batch of chicken eggs first, as its been a long while since you hatched eggs...

EDIT.... I am surprised you hatched out an egg you bought from Tesco....

I think that's a useful suggestion. Thanks for the idea!

The Tesco thing... it was back when they did 3 different "rare breed" eggs in a box as their "best" eggs - 2 blue, 2 dark brown and 2 white. I was a complete b*tch and swapped eggs around to get a box of 6 blues. I suppose if Clarence Court didn't do boxes of just blue eggs and I tried to do it now, I'd get thrown out and banned :rotfl:

I forgot my bit of good news, which is that my kidney scans were both clear and my last blood sample was normal, so the stones have vanished. :D

Perhaps the Horse Woman's cider vinegar dissolved them? Anyway I'm passed fit for [STRIKE]nothing[/STRIKE] service. :)

Poorly hen went without a murmur, though almost had a last minute reprieve, due to a cloudburst, which lasted from around 7pm till dusk.

Rummer, my DW planted an expensive lupin today. I said nothing! :rotfl:I'm growing some tree lupins from seed, as I think they'll be a better bet.

Tis a gorgeous sun shiny day :j

Rumlet is fighting his nap time with real passion however I have confidence that he will soon give in and go to sleep :rotfl:

After lunch we will go out and get some weeding done. The beds are looking amazing so far with just the bits I have done and I am hoping to get the existing ones finished off today so that I can start digging out the new ones :j

The forecast for the rest of the week is not as good so I really just need to crack on today and get as much as I can done.

Its as grim as possible here Rummer. The dogs ( apart from big dog) refused to come and do the birds with me this morning, and it gave them late breakfast till the worst of the weather had passed off.

The pay off is that after these few days grim weather everything is GLOWING shades of green. My view from the big cheese room window is stunning : across the bright grass, to the little clustering glade of plums and lilacs, lilac and white in flow, then apple blossom on the right and behind the white lilacs the horse chestnuts, there white candles, echoing the shape of the lilac blooms.

I have vases of lilacs and horse chestnuts in the cheese room and would have filled the house with them but for the fact there is a site meeting on Thursday to go over some problems we are still having and the architect is very allergic, so when he is gone I'll fill the rest of the house with flowers.

I have a couple of roses eeking in bloom now too...some in view from the dining room! and some in the rose gold garden.
