Took cat over to the vet for 2pm. By then she was very much at peace, having spent the morning lying out in the sun in the garden while we weeded around the perennials.
Pleased to say, it was all pretty text-book.
Oh davesnave. What a lovely way to spend the morning for her..

Perfect.
Or even purrfect, but purring was something she stopped doing on Sunday. Important sign, I think.
Marchella, our vet, is very good. She's also a chicken specialist. So, pragmatic as usual, we grilled her over our latest chicken woes and got a sort of long distance diagnosis on our very poorly Rhode Island too.
As a result, I'm culling her tonight. What a great day!
Still, I'd rather deal with it all and have some peace of mind.0 -

Agreed. Our old man was unsettled by the move to the car but was in full "double decker bus" mode lying on the vet's table being stroked. He had however been very miserable all day (back legs had almost given out) so the time was right. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -

Ahh, so sorry to hear about kitty, now at peace in a sunbeam for ever :A
All we can do is give them the best quality of life for as long as possible. And then have the courage to do the right thing at the right time.It is a good idea to be alone in a garden at dawn or dark so that all its shy presences may haunt you and possess you in a reverie of suspended thought.

Anyone know what this plant is?
One of the few in this garden apart from roses and forgetmenots which are everywhere. It is a good idea to be alone in a garden at dawn or dark so that all its shy presences may haunt you and possess you in a reverie of suspended thought.

That was quick LIR!
Many thanks :A
This clump has been flowering for ages - possibly due to the mild spring. Bees love it. I asked Mr BD to fence it off from the chickens so they didn't trash it and I'm glad I did now! It's in totally the wrong place - in effect in the middle of the lawn.
Never seen a garden like this one. Loads of empty plant pots and plant labels strewn around, but very few plants.
How's Old Dog today? It is a good idea to be alone in a garden at dawn or dark so that all its shy presences may haunt you and possess you in a reverie of suspended thought.

Quiet, asleep on the sofa. Not fussed about much. I just ordered her a months worth of pills, rather than two months ( I am allowed two lots of pills and I only have got near the end of one box so instead of getting both I am guessing we have a month so going for that and then seeing ). The lot I haven't ordered are useless to me if I get left with a load, where as the main lot are ok for dog dog if she needs them for minor things.
I also have a cat going to the vet on Friday for a ' not quite right' situation on Friday. Have a feeling it could be the beginning of renal problems..

Plants bought. Plants left in pots. Plants died. Plants binned or composted, leaving labels and pots?If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0
