Cool - how do you find keeping quails?
We were looking at them the other day and debating whether to try them. Do you intend to keep the eggs for eating or will you sell them?0 -

Ce. I am going to see how it goes, in theory i would love to be able to supply resturants etc, but i need to do more research in our area, to see what the demand would be, also as we have a blank canvas so to speak, i contacted the local council to find out what criteria they look for when they come out and inspect, so we can arrange things to their spec, but they didnt know lol. So waiting for them to get back to me after easter.
As for the birds they are nut cases tbh, very nervous, an 'jumpy' so you got to do everything in slow motion, opening the cage, slowly get the drinker out etc...
I can see why now people keep them on mesh, sloping cages, and auto feed and drinkers

Hello all - been a while. Been ill & struggling on. OH has been pretty ill too, so not much happening at Choille croft xcept for lambing & all gorgeous & bouncy.
Hope everyone is all well & enjoying Spring0 -
Dodgily placed fire. And no more logs!!!!
Hop growth since last week ( not as cute as piglets or puppies, sorry)
Fuggles
Cascade
And Saaz
Baby quince tree foliage ( I am in love with this tree)
And Harry baker who I am very pleased with.
Fire is struggling. Don't think those stumps will burn through today. Hopefully they might get so they are possible to break apart though. They look so much smaller in a picture, and so much smaller than their weight anyway! I have a pic some where of how close the stumps are to the barn.... The idea pod that dump in the firt pic being a garden one day seems almost impossible, right.its going to be BEAUTIFUL! I promise!

Ah, here we are, stump proximity to barn. Doesn't seem worth risk of removing these.
Stump, barn, fire. ......
Has been a day to stay by the fire0
