Roz, might be worth registering the flock now if you haven't yet....its fairly easy to go over fifty once you get a few broody and a few breeding interests.
Staying under was a bane for me for ages.
I have under a dozen now.0 -
Thanks for reminding me LIR. Limits are being set by long suffering hubby (and ignored by me on the whole). I'd forgotten The Powers That Be. We already have a holding number but not a registered flock.0

morning all,
nice morning here, in work, but I can feel myself not coping already...
that blood pressure thing was a pain in the A....I now have to wait to hear from the Dr's
told the nurse I was stressed with work etc, but all she said is maybe cut back, etc as health is more important
friend took a video of the piglets last night and put it onto FB..
will put the link up... don't know if you will be able to see it, please don't copy as I will remove from post later

Deep joy! :j
Our neighbour, whose sheep trashed the stream garden, is as good as his word. The contractors are putting in fencing on his side of the brook.
This means I can demolish the old fence in the new copse area. It also means I can take away the ugly, rusty hurdles I had to put up at the Dog End......if I feel generous! :rotfl:0 -

CTC IS there no way you could sell the business as an ongoing concern? That would give you a cash boost and let you step away.Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0

Yes, even I can see them, on my carp connection!
Lovely little [STRIKE]bacon buttie[/STRIKE]piglets, and so bold too! :T0 -
They are so busy, I love it! my lot are being equally adventurous, getting into mischief.
Had some friends and their kids to visit yesterday for a while, I'm not usually big into kids but I loved showing them round and telling them about the animals. Two of them are doing a school project on animals so took loads of photos, I sense a marketing opportunity!
Am slow getting going this morning, forgot to set the alarm so woke up late and behind the drag curve now....never mind there's 10 hours of daylight ahead, I'm sure I'll catch up!
Enjoy the sunshine everyone!0 -
Ferret Our local school often has small holders in to speak to the children about growing crops or raising animals and they send leaflets home to the parents
We have order from a few as it made us aware of local suppliers we would probably not have heard otherwise. Another good turn is to provide something for a school fundraiser as then your details are highlighted to everyone and you are being kind by helping the school.
Oh and if you have the right kind of insurance/setup you can always have them over to visit!Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0
