    Madly trying to catch up.......

    Happy Birthday< CTC :j:beer::j:cool:

    Congrats to DD1, Rhiw. :T

Hope everyone who has been suffering with anything is either now better or well on the way to it.,

    Nice Farrah Fawcets, LIR

If I've missed something important to anyone, I apologise :o

Been MPing. He's on the case so, fingers crossed, he can sort something out or :(

I'm still loving the weather & dreading it ending.

Oh, & apparently the number of seagulls meeting untimely ends on the roads has soared down here. They're eating the flying ants & the formic acid is making them drunk. They stagger around & end up getting clobbered by cars.

It is a good idea to be alone in a garden at dawn or dark so that all its shy presences may haunt you and possess you in a reverie of suspended thought.

Phew, I go away for ten days and I come back to 10 pages and loads of news !

    Happy Birthday CTC

Well I had a lovely and relaxing break which was exactly what we all needed. The place we stayed was stunning and the quiet towns and villages surrounding it were idyllic. It was a bit too hot for lots of activities but we ate our way merrily through the break ;)

This thread is invaluable reading for people considering a daydreamers lifestyle and there is such a wealth of information on a huge array of subjects. I have certainly learned loads!

I hope the people that are struggling with poor health are feeling better or at least have light at the end of the tunnel.

Since we got home we have been enjoying our strawberries and raspberries which are ripe and delicious. We were worried we would miss them but they held back their best until we got home :D. Maybe next year I will get more planted :o

(Hope she is out somewhere nice tonight ;))

Impressive that your DH could still strip off confidently, Better Days. :) I hear our next one is Aladdin, but no idea about the roles yet.

Welcome back Rummer. Good you still savoured the fruits of your labours. ;)

We're finding it hard to take logs seriously right now, but like you, rhiwfield, we're making the most of the ones we already have. I think we've at least half a winter's worth lying around, but in our case most of them need cutting-up. It's a chain saw job we keep putting off. :o

    Happy Birthday CTC!

OH planted a load of nasturtiums this evening, so if they grow we can remember your birthday and celebrate again!

    Hugs from Liverpool!

    Shower taps. :)

Oh I like them!!! :T I take it the only thing you'll see when fitted are the squares, how very chic and minimalist! Where are they from? Not that I need taps right now, but maybe keep them somewhere safe just in case...!

Happy Birthday CTC, I hope you're celebrating somewhere tonight and having fun, you deserve a night off! :bdaycake: You at the ranch this weekend?

I have to say I love this weather now I'm used to it, I've even worn shorts, and out in public! Had a lovely BBQ with some friends last night, didn't need a cardi even at midnight, we sat round a fire to keep midgies away, what a life!

It's lucky I can work indoors or in shade or have the afternoon off if I want/need to, I'm such a wimp. I don't think anyone should be made to work if it's so hot and we aren't used to it - those blokes on SAS training near me couldn't even manage last weekend and they're as tough as it gets.

It's regularly in the high forties this time of year where my OH works but they have time to acclimatise and they seem to have proper reliable seasons there. We just go from one extreme to another it seems...

People talking about rain coming next week, but if it does not much, I can't imagine going back to the mud fest we had here :( so hopefully it's dry and warm for a wee while yet

Ferretkeeper, they come with a back plate, but I don't see the need for it so don't plan on using it. ;). In fact, I see the need NOT to use it, because we have four taps ( two of those double ones) and what wasn't clear on the image was that the back plate says hot cold on one and on off on the other, Well, that won't make sense for our four. :).

So yes, plan is to have just the squares. I might yet be foiled, but I hope not :)
