Morning peeps....Still trying to catch up.
Alfie, I hope you got a good night's sleep....or at least some sleep, Off you go now, and sit on doc's doorstep till the dragon fits you in....;):p
CTC I can't advise on that. I've had some dealings with local fuzz in the city, so I know not to get wrong-sided with them. Won't say more, but it's worked both ways for me!
Yesterday we didn't get a lot done, as DW had more hand/thumb problems and the physio suggested we go to the hospital for X ray. That took up all the time beyond the usual watering/ weeding routine. We don't think anything is broken, but must cover all bases.
Today I'm taking Daisy back to the vet and allowing them one night to do wee sample and maybe a further blood test, as I now know she's anaemic. I've seen her licking sand/gravel, which is a recognised sign. They've been told no ops or anything like that.0 -

WHY am I looking at this link? http://www.sweetpeaandwillow.com/chandelier-kasbah-oval-medium
Rozee, may be worth going to local auctions. I'd regularly expect to see chandeliers as well as lots of brown furniture which is incredibly cheap still. Opportunities for upcycling are superb.
Alf, hope that the pills + a night's rest (if not sleep) are doing the trick. If it hasnt its time to phone the doc.0 -
morning all:j
Davesnave, that's the thing, you want to shout at the police for being dimwits, but as you say, it might get their backs up, and leave the silly sooods go. They have 5 hours of interviewing time left, which I want them to use now, to pull them in again, or raid their houses again to see 'IF' there is any chance of anything left there.. I don't care if they keep saying it isn't a priority... and they haven't got enough man power:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
You can see why people want to sort things themselves...so lets see what the police say when hubby phones.. ( that's if they will speak to him)
This weather is really taking its toll on me now.... its also made me realise I really do need to lose weight now:cool:.
been reading on weight loss posts, and they mentioned a free site called fitness pal, and they said I need to be on a 1200 a day:eek::eek::eek: that's only about 1 biscwit and a cuppa:rotfl::rotfl:
so will look into it a bit more:cool::pWork to live= not live to work0 -
How do you feel about exercise, CTC? I love my food, eat large portions and like chocolate, so can't bear to diet. It motivates me to move more, as twice or thrice weekly exercise means I can still eat plenty treats. I run twice a week. Started from a total couch potato. There are smart phone apps to coach you in eight or nine weeks.0

alfie 1 - how's the pain today? Sounds like it really needs to be checked out - the numbness would worry me I must admit
Davesnave - hope Daisy is OK at the vets and they can give you an answer so you can treat and make her more comfortable. Our last elderly cat went on until he was 19 and was fairly perky until the last 6 months or so when he gradually slept more and more. He became incontinent and we had him pts after a while as we didn't want his skin to get urine burnt. A friend of mine put special cat nappies on her cat , although to be fair she is housebound and he was her only companion.
CTC - sorry to hear of your troubles, not sure what happened but it sounds as if you had a burglary. Dad's flat was burgled after he passed away, and they even pinched the loo rolls and the loo roll holder!
Off to the hospital tomorrow morning for a 'pre-clinic' check. The letter said it would take between 2 and 4 hours and was rather worried as I would need somewhere to lie down and clinics often don't have anywhere. Plus I couldn't imagine what an earth they would be doing to take that long. Rang them up and they said 'don't worry the letter is pants - it only takes that long for people having orthopaedic operations - for you it will be 45mins tops, and no waiting as you are the first appointment'. Excellent.
And more good news, saw my physiotherapist on Tuesday and he has discharged me as he is happy with the progress I am making improving mobility in my left shoulder. A very sweet young man, young enough to be my son - did make me feel a bit old sometimes
Just noticed on Right Move this morning - the house we had an offer accepted on last week, and then they changed their minds - they have put the AP up again! Initially it was £287k then down to OIEO £250k and I wouldn't be surprised if they had another offer for £250k. Now they have put the AP back up to £287k!!
Hope you are all keeping cool :cool::cool::cool:It is a good idea to be alone in a garden at dawn or dark so that all its shy presences may haunt you and possess you in a reverie of suspended thought.

BD.. we got broken into at work:mad::mad::mad::mad:
I bet the EA will VERY SOON;) get piddled off with those peeps BD, 'IF' you feel that was the right place for you, I would go back to the EA and say that you will offer ( a bit less than the last offer) and you have no chain and get the 'deal done' as quick as poss. your offer will only stand for x days, and this time 'if' it is excepted then go going back, house off market, and no pulling out etc..and if they do, and you have paid out for surveys etc, then you will bill the owners for the money spent.
and point out the stamp duty threshold etc
It might be worth a go.. and taking the gamble..Work to live= not live to work0
