I agree - think the living room wallpaper is William Morris, but it's a bit overpowering on every wall! But the bedroom with matching ceiling and everything, imagine waking up in there after a few drinks! :rotfl:
LiR, you're going through a bit of a grim time aren't you! Do hope the docs can sort you out so you're more comfortable.
Dave, I'm sure you're making the best choice for Daisy. Brodie slept practically the whole time when he was here last. What makes me happy is that on the Sunday he went out into the sun in the garden and was so obviously snuffing the air and enjoying the outside. And he hung on till DD came home to see him on the Tuesday before the final trip.
Rhwy, hope your back improves soon - though ligaments take a fair old time I think. Back pain is a misery, stops you doing so many things!0 -
I'm ok maggie, I feel ok. Just experimenting with the old bod mainly0

Well the chickens seem to like the new house, they go to bed in it at night - but no eggs yesterday, probably due to the heat
I still have to push one hen out of the nestbox every night but I expect she'll get the message in the end.
Poor Fudge (kitty) had four teeth out yesterday at the vet and still isn't quite feeling himself after the anaesthetic. So although I now owe DH absolutely nothing, there's still quite a bit on the CC to clobber next month. But I'm nearly there! Then just one big expense after that as part of Plan C and I'm all done
Realistically I'm excited and it's hard keeping a lid on our secret but come September I shall start drip-feeding you snippets
I had a nasty bout of cramp on Saturday - in my back and diaphragm, and it was hours before I felt normal. I don't want that to happen again...
BD so sorry about the bungalowLIR look after yourself, CTC try and have some patience, Rozee hang in there - don't get too bogged down with all the little decisions, look at the overall picture. Rhiwie hope the back mends soon, and Alfie's burned shoulders. Maggie the lottie should soothe the soul even as it pummels the body :rotfl:

(I only know this as DD2 told me about the ceiling after viewing)
It must feel horribly claustrophobic in that room when the curtains are drawn.:eek::eek:
I'm just wondering if they managed to find matching carpet! Urggghhh! Must ask DD what the carpet is like, need forewarning before I may see it.
I don't mind wallpaper per se. A feature wall is about how adventurous I'm likely to get. Though I worry that wallpaper dates like a tattoo?
We've had the silver lining to the cloud today, building-wise. But I'm not discussing it on an open forum. Suffice to say, I was having bad dreams last night, but am fine now. It's the country way0 -
Photo bucket is playing up but the builders have just taken out the sash window in the new bathroom and .....the surround was made up of balled up cement bags. So we are left wondering.....was it a shutter cavity...would that have been so likely up there at the back out here in the sticks?
Hasty email to the joiner to say he might need to remeasure the window now. Hope everything still fits. On the plus side, if it was a recess for shutters, we might be able to put some shutters back in without looking pretentious.(not this year!)
It's four-5 inches the recess, I don't know why it looks so much smaller in the pic!
Edit...hope these photos make clear what I mean0 -
