Dave - That looks very fetching - especially the shoes. No heels? Or is that for private?:D

When you're a bloke of 5' 4", high heels don't really do anything for you.....:(....or anyone else. :o

The shoes are the only bit DW didn't make. They came from the props cupboard. :D

Scary wind outside here too, but it's better for us now it's from the west. I'm staying indoors, and I'd urge you all to do the same. It's not possible to do anything remedial out there just now.

One positive is that the rain seems to have stopped here.
  • Choille have you ever thought about keeping some piggies???

the weather is rough out there at mo.... not nice..

Just seen on the news, that they think that the very bad snow that the us are having now, will hit us in several days!!!!! hope not as will have booked the craft thing in Farnborough...

hubby has now gone to the pub, where youngest is celebrating his birthday... to keep a bit of eye on him.

Hope son doesn't get to pished.

Yes, CTc - have often thought about piggy wiggies for ground clearing as well as for the freezer. We may well.

I do like pork. I know someone who tries to make a living from them but can't coz of feed & haulage. I would like to grow some feed, but need to get my finger out better thos year as things slid a bit with being ill, but once the house is more complete I'll be able to think straighter. Well, that's the plan...........
  • nope youngest was fine it was HUBBY that cam back rather merry!!!

Yep feed prices are manic... and when they are growing they do eat ALOT of food.... the plan is this year to try and grow good 'giving' plants so I can give some to the piggies..

OK, you're the first to see me in my Emperor's outfit :

It's not quite 'finished,' as I'll have make-up on, a moustache and a long pigtail hanging over my left shoulder, but you'll get the idea.....:)

    Whoo- hoo;):whistle::whistle::whistle:

EDIT: Picture deleted when told it had just been there temporarily. Didn't know that....

Money, although I'm glad you appreciate the outfit, please delete the picture from your post.

I've already removed the original because the longer it stays here, the greater the chance that I will be ID'd by someone in the village.

If that happens, I won't be posting here again for a long time.

We should make a rule about this. Obviously there is no risk in posting or quoting a piccy of a sheep or a packet of bacon, but for reasons of privacy, pictures of ourselves, or easily recognisable features of our local community should be under our own control.

    Yes? :)
  • Davesnave,

I thought that was the unspoken, taken for granted rule, on here anyway.

Might be worth having a private spin off forum, as well as this one, which I think I have suggested before, not to replace this one, but to run along side this one for times where we want to show pictures etc..

  • Dave - am loving your new *get up* lol :rotfl: Totally agree though about the privacy issue - when I posted some piccies of our house here last year I soon removed them after everyone had had the opportunity to look, even though it was only the rear elevation and there were no identifying shots of yours truly, but you just never know who is lurking that might recognise something/someone :o Hopefully Money will oblige ASAP........

Hope everyone (and their pets/livestock/homes) survived last night's latest batch of terrible weather - the only damage here (apart from a few more large tree branches on the lawn :o) was our predecessor's TV aerial that finally bit the dust and distributed itself in bits around the terrace. We rarely watch live TV ourselves, but really must get round to having a new one fitted before the house goes up for sale later in the year!

Hi All, I've been fire fighting again. Well, storm fighting. It's been rough on this hill. The greenhouse blew away on Wednesday and we wondered about the strength of the new very glassed extension, but it's all still there.

Amongst the weather (which is still very stormy) and sickly children and sick parents and a grandmother in hospital, and a dodgy back.... I haven't stopped for some time now.

The worst thing about this weather is that my beloved Ixworth pullet died! Only two days after I finally found her a cockerel! She was out in all weathers and I thought she was really hardy but it seems she was just dim. Now I have a cockerel and no ladies for him.... Gutted.

Love your pic, Dave, but, yes, really should be taken down. i still have pics of me breastfeeding the twins all over photobucket! I am not too worried about it though because same pic is displayed as an actual sized photo at the front of the maternity ward where I gave birth - I gave the midwife permission for a breastfeeding promo ;)
  • might be the wrong way about it ( sorry money) but I have reported the post, and said about the original post was going to be removed later etc to save the potential identity of the poster...

hope I haven't affended anyone by this, as I REALLY don't want our Davesnave to stop posting, as over the years you have really helped me and others in your honest and constructive advice, opinions and and honest views on this, which I know have helped us loads when looking and buying this place...
