Just watched the news, and there is flooding in the south east...anyone know any more??

I know it will be noticed much more quickly in Westminster than the flooding in Somerset was! :rotfl:

My thoughts exactly!! Imagine the hoo ha if the Thames floods!!

Dave - we had a holiday lodge a few years ago, it was the Cotswolds I think, which had a wood pellet boiler which I really liked - very easy to use, although you do have to move around sacks of pellets if you dont have a hopper. This one had the boiler in the main room.

Here's our little flock snuggled up for the night in an old rabbit hutch. Feathering up nicely.

It is a good idea to be alone in a garden at dawn or dark so that all its shy presences may haunt you and possess you in a reverie of suspended thought.

Watched the Olympics this afternoon. Did you see those lunatics on the luge! Over 100 miles an hour going round the bend on a tea tray :eek::eek:

  • BD... I am not really into the winter Olympics, so missed it
    your chooks are looking lovely...

Davesnave.... mmmmm 15 acres or more.... so smallholders with less than 15 acres have got to apply for planning for even a small block built shed?? BUT you can put up a HUGE wooden shed without planning?

Depends on the size, I'd imagine. I had to get PP for my polytunnel 'cos it's way over 14' wide.

Apparently, you can erect a tunnel of any length without PP, so long as it doesn't exceed 14' in width. :rotfl:

Alfie, muck & dust is death to digital cameras, even if they do 'click.' Once grot gets onto the sensor, it is reproduced in every shot. Carrying the camera in a plastic bag is one way around the problem, if your hands aren't going to be mucky, that is. Better still, buy a waterproof camera next time. :)

DS2 and I were making a start on the garden, cleaned the hens out and made some plans. Can people recommend some varieties of rhubarb to grow, my last crown was rubbish last year so time for some new ones.

I only have Timperley Early, so nothing to compare with I'm afraid. :o

It's OK. Trouble is I'm not a big rhubarb fan. Rhiwfield would know. :)

I've heard good things about Sutton rhubarb. I don't have any.

We brought some with us (not sure what) but it died and we decided not to worry till we had a soft fruit garden sorted out properly.

    I LOVE rhubarb.
