Its that the weather has been good thats piddled me off. Every thing we have tried to do our tools have let us down!
Its too wet to see if the lawn mower is working at least, rofl.0 -
It is blowing a gale out there with sunshine and showers, but too, too windy to be bearable being out. Glad I mucked out half of the chooks first thing this morning.0

i used to do it for a living...had a shop
sold some for thousands  but more architectural masters than "dolls" houses
Thought I remembered you saying that - at Beaulieu wasn't it? I used to have a shop too in the late '90s - in my past life as a fashion designer - although it ended up as a general gift/card/toy/ethnic clothing shop
I'd love to make dolls houses/decorate them - must be a throwback to my childhood when I had a passion for making teeny weeny dolls and outfits for them......mind you I also used to dress worms in loo roll, lol :rotfl:Mortgage-free for fourteen years!

Sorry you've had a wasted day LIR - it's so blooming annoying when your good intentions come to nothing
We went off to a local auction this morning - not looking for stock, but because I'd seen something I fancied for myself that DH said he'd get for my BD next month. I had a max bid price in mind but he said he'd do the bidding as I tend to get carried away;)
Well, typically - it always happens with us - the item we were after proved to be more popular than I'd hoped and it ended up going for £550.....DH went up to £500 - so much for him saying I get carried away as I was only intending to pay £300! The auction estimate was only £100-150
This afternoon DH has gone to pick up some eBay stock so at least one of us is happy......Mortgage-free for fourteen years!

Similar here. I managed some brushcutting earlier, but then my good line ran out. After 10 minutes with the horrible Mole Valley stuff, I gave up.
So, after checking the sheep, I thought I'd do some plant related work....... when a load of logs turned up. The log people had seen the weather forecast & decided to come today instead of tomorrow.
The logs were in a bit of a state, as they'd done them in the messy yard next to their other business to kill 2 birds with one stone! To cut a long story short, that was 90 mins, stripping bark and loose stacking in the hope that this delivery will dry by the time we need it. Grrr! :wall:
No plant work done, except to put in a couple of small elms where the hedge is thin.0 -
