Weird wander round the garden this morning.
A poppy just broken bud but not yet full in bloom, a wall flower just starting to flower about eight feet away more nomally and in another part of the garden....an almost ripe ( I'd eat it) strawberry.0 -
In the absence of itsme, I meant to warn that it looks like a particularly naff weekend is approaching us, weatherwise.
Our DD2 is supposed to be visiting, but I think I'll try to put her off because there will be no nice walks to be had, or even any serious work outside.
We were just drying out nicely too.:(0 -
Oh no ( and best is he's through ether to itsme honest, I hope things are ok with her).
We had not bad run yesterday evening and it just ha no where to go. I might have to get sand bags for front door because the Rain is starting to ominously sit on front path.0 -
Hope everyone is well.
LIR - I have some rasps out!
We offered on a woodland in a national park area years ago, but not to be. They are often sold here when they are financially unviable - they need to be cut down & they are not in handy places to get the wood out. One here is on blue clay so you couldn't afford a structure as the founds would be V expensive, but often a cheap way to acquire ground.
Phone call from SEERAD this morning re me telling the inspector to go away. It will go ahead later this week. The guy who phoned me I've dealt with in the past & he's a really sensible bloke & seems I've come up on the radar coz I was inspected last year & they found a discrepancy so they come back..............seems like a regular occurance.
Well about to pour down here me thinks as Alf would say so off to do some logs.0 -
How often might you be subject to random inspections choille?
We had one first year here for land. I dread one ATM. We look like a blackberry farm.0 -
I too look like a bramble farm & a muddy mess, but can't really do owt about that in the next few days.
It would seem I raised alert when I reduced my claim area after last year's inspection - can you believe it. I could be spot checked at any time.
I did ask if all the massive estates round about that are claiming millions are undergoing inspections, but I wasn't given an answer on that one. Probably just the wee scruffs like meself.0 -

I don't have anything to do with them.:p
Much has changed here. The garden used to be 30' long....
I'll say no more.0 -

You can change how much you claim for quite simply by map. and then they wouldn't even be required to check the amount you'd kept out I think? We keep about half an acre out.0 -
hellooooo
well i hope itsme is ok AND rumlett .......:o
ive had a good day again
i went to see my old lady for a trial run with her new folding wheelchair for her future pacemaker checkup at the hospital..
:rotfl: i normally have to go find a chair which can take forever so this ones a likkle gem..:D
then went to friends house [she bought the other half of her house when lady sold it and restored back to original ONE house] in the garden is a funny brick building of 2 rooms, one up , 1 down. BUT below ground is a cellar .. which was part of the secret smugglers tunnels... now its a wine cellar. so she had loads of wine delivered and we put it away in there. steps down are lethal i will add !! rescued 2 toads..:D
then we had lunch
then she took me to the house near hurst castle shes bought [end of 3, originally one house] oh my word !! you lot would be drooling at the HUGE intact mega beut old black range discovered in the old kitchen... and my bluddy camera battery went !! huge big dresser type units and cupboards etc... ceilings gotta be 10-12ft plus.. big sash windows ...view over the sea....
work men were beavering away...
apparently the neighbour wanted to buy it but couldnt afford it and has since been a pain in the butt with stupid demands and fictional rules as its an open lawned front to the 3 properties down to the sea wall. told her that friends grandaughter and her little dog were not allowed on the lawn [F has lots of garden behind and to the side] F told lady to politely "get over it":rotfl: then told me if she moves , she's having that house !!:D
she always restores any features NEVER hides em.
LIR has seen one house ..
i will add i came away with 8 pairs of curtains...;)
i need bookcases....:o
hope you are all well0 -
