Ahh, so sorry to hear about Mabel. I enjoyed reading about her antics. Those special animals with huge personalities become part of the fabric of our lives and leave such a gap when they pass away.
It is a good idea to be alone in a garden at dawn or dark so that all its shy presences may haunt you and possess you in a reverie of suspended thought.

Quickly is the best way. No protracted suffering which is the thing I hate. She lived it up while alive so I'm sure that, if there's a big sty in the sky, she'll already be going walkabout in sunny fields of clover

i am actually having a giggle that she persistantly got out the last 3 days, pi**ing off the local "mummies" in thier 4x4's going to the school, winding up the postman,etc.... generally putting 2 trotters up to all.. :p

almost like she was leaving her legacy....:rotfl:

Mabel lived a life of adventure and sounds as if she was a very single minded lady. Thank you for sharing so many of her escapades with us, she will be missed.
