Then the entire area needs re-insulating between joists and then covered with 20cm of further insulation to give me R36.

"mum of fireman" has to mention to make sure the loft insulating isnt plonked on top of end of lights.... they need a breather cover over them and insulation around that not over...

After picking over the bodge-job this afternoon, I've decided to swap out the lights and 12V transformers and go for Fire Rated 240V units, waterproofed for use above showers.

evening folks....

i was sat thinking last night that albeit mabel was poorly, i realised that i could have a lie in :j because she wouldnt be clock watching.... WRONG

WENT TO GO OUT THIS MORNING AND THERES MABEL HOLDING THE POSTMAN TO RANSOM ....:eek: :rotfl::rotfl:
he is trying to get back in his van and mabel wont let him . i had to call/bribe her away...:rotfl:

i got her back in her plot [poor weak, hand fed for two days thing had lifted the gate off its hinges :cool: ], fed her and went off to do airport run. got a call ...yep shes out again !! chap put her back for me. went to see mum and ...yep...out again !
now considering i thought she was about to meet her maker, she's had a bluddy active day.

its like fort knox now over there. shes had 3 meals today , obviously thought id saved it up :rotfl::rotfl: she trundled off to her house, grunted and plonked inside....

she was called a few alternatives to mabel i can tell you.....;)

i swear she was chuckling as i put her away

Maybe you should say to her, you aren't allowed to sell eggs from your gate but they said nowt about bacon :eek:

Good to hear of Mabel's Lazarus moments today. :T

We were talking pigs t'other day, and although we didn't come to any conclusions, we made a potential plan for keeping them in the orchard, making the most of the area where the apple trees died. We could fit in two pig runs and alternate them in that space, keeping the remaining row of trees out of the pig area altogether.

No pigs till we have done our building though
