Hate that light....cannot wait to get it down. I want to sort the Italian lights as a winter project but I need to know I'll be able to get it done before I get them down, so they don't hang around on the dining table for months:mad:

    Sorry alfie, not ignoring you.
Nothing much exciting happening here today and didn't want to bore you all rigid. However, as you asked....it's cold, pouring with rain here in Suffolk. Kitties are bored and keep howling and plucking the carpet for attention.

Had a potential tenant round to view the house today. Fingers crossed as LA will not hold us until the end of the rental period if they can find another tenant.

Now in bed with Poirot with the electric blanket on to warm my bones. The highlight of my day has been the consumption of a Belgium Bun. Ahh a Belgium theme emerging today.

Did warn you that not much happening here. :D:D:D

Perhaps some of the other dreamers can tickle our fancy with tales of their exciting day -- but possibly they are too busy having a good time ;)

Nope, had a horrible time in Exeter in a well-known outfitters, where I was hiring a posh suit again. Idiot man barely checked my waistline a few weeks ago when I said was 5lbs heavier than last year.....and I only ever put it on in one place! :o

So, the trousers didn't fit. Fair enough, but the stupid girl laughed when I said I was rejecting them, so she got both barrels!

Manager brought me the next size up......Then DW laughed! :(They were way too big and baggy.:wall:

I decided I wasn't going to bother with any of it then.:mad:

    I left.:p

Manager did a stitching job on the smaller pair to find a bit more waistline and gave them to DW.

I might wear them.....for an hour or two, but it's an expensive way to feel fat, silly and uncomfortable. I shall end up in my usual togs once I've had a few glasses of wine, just like I did at DD1's wedding.

So pleased DD2 told us last week she wasn't thinking of marrying for 'ages yet!':rotfl:
  • I had a day working today, with my nice job... I was teaching bead work... that I love, shame not much money in it.

This weekend, subject to weather, it will be putting in the new fence down at the allotment and putting the shelter together, that's if hubbie has remembered to book the post rammer.

I can sympathise Dave. There is no point in being uncomfortable, you wont be able to enjoy yourself. I have put on a bit of weight recently and am now 'between' sizes. Plus I have abdominal problems and am unable to tolerate tight clothes. So size 10 is too tight and size 12's fall past my hips and I end up looking like a 'brother' in homeboy trousers :D:D:D Trouble is I am about 30 years old for that 'look':D:D:D

Hope you have an enjoyable lunch on Sunday alfie. You must be heartily sick of your cess pit problems, I don't know how you put up with it and Mr BUHA :(:(:(

I did manage to upset the cleaner today. She comes for two hours a week and does clean well. Trouble is she would happily talk for most of the time and it wears me out. Recently I realised she wasn't staying for the whole of the two hours. Turns out that she was 'arriving' by the time shown by the clock in her car which is 10-15 mins slow, and then leaving about 5 minutes 'early' by our clock which shows the right time. Over the last few weeks I have been trying to get her to do the whole 2 hours but it has been a battle. She is mightily miffed with me now, and I wouldn't be surprised if she doesn't turn up next week.

I did some household chores today and slept, so another dull day here.

Dave I would have told them all what I thought too!

Hubby has a week off work and has said that he will get the nursery painted and the furniture moved in so I am very excited :D In return I have promised endless cups of tea and bits of home baking to keep his strength up!

Slowly starting to feel a bit more human which is a relief as I am soooooooo bored of watching bad tv and being indoors.
