Welcome Lovefullshelves. I don't like living in a caravan any more, especially the Winters which can be pretty harsh here. I don't like just the cold water either. I will love getting hot water again.

Hope Mabel is okay Alfie - How old is she?

Another hail stormy night. Physio tomorrow so I'd better do my excercises.

Elderly people can behave very differently on different days. My Dad usually held it together for the doctor! ;)

Choille, I'll never get the barn airtight! The fact that it has a corrugated roof means that it has venting built in up there and there are plenty of other gaps. We also open the back door most days.

But I agree if we were to have beasts in there, instead of our furniture, I'd have to take out a few of the panels I'm installing. Lir warned me about that ages ago, so the panels have all been screwed down, just in case. :)

Sending get well vibes to Mabel, and to anyone else who's under the weather. :A

We had a chicken stewish thing tonight and I still feel bloated..:(
I think that might be the last meal of 2013 where all the veg used was home produced. Fancy being out of toms already.

    ........until Christmas, that is! :rotfl:

EDIT: Alfie, the answer is "Yes" but it stands repeating, though it doesn't look that 'umble from 'ere ! :p

Rhiwie... don't forget the offer is allways there if you need anything up from Andrews or any other auction place own that way...

Hi lovefullshelves, you sound as though you will fit in here lovely, I can sense your wicked sense of humour already:D

Alfie.... hope mabel is only having an off day, maybe she has a bit of arthritis setting in???. Pity we live so far from you, as you know where is a caravan hooked up with leccy:D

Luceille... so sorry about your Mam, can the social worker recommend a suitable home for her, where they will be able to cope?

Davesnave.. it sounds as though you are very deflated, now that you have eaten most of your home-grown...

The weather has been pants Choille... its not cold here, but as its soooo damp, we are burning logs in the evening, just to take the dampness out of the house...

    don't talk to me about hoarding:cool::cool::cool::cool: :D:D:D

It felt more like inflated last night! :rotfl:

Hoarding is good, if you have the space. All the plywood I've been using on the barn has been recycled from the old pig sheds in the garden, and their roofs went onto one of the small log barns. :D

On the other hand, I can't see that we will ever need the Dutch lights from our old greenhouse, so I ought to sell those. We will be getting all the glass we need out of the conservatory when it goes.

The wood we've hoarded from tree work here is now coming into its own , though I don't recommend thick Tulip Tree limbs. Even when sawn into sensible sized chunks, the splitting axe just bounces off those! I haven't a solution....

Lucielle, I feel for you with your Mum. MIL is much the same, including soiling because she cant be bothered. In her case the dementia and her behaviour meant the social moved her into care. A nasty streak has come right to the surface as well, it's very unpleasant

Alf, no its not old, made about 10 years ago, but it is superb quality and retails at US$ 1200, not sure what to try to sell it for.

Choille, it is an Elastrator with a pack of rubber rings for castration of young calves and lambs. Re Bay lisiting, we've noticed a change in the Bay lately and the boards are full of post about sales collapsing. Our experience, having moved to BINs with free post, is that we get bursts of sales then nothing, as if listings become visible then invisible. Overall though, sales are good but the effort to achieve them has increased

CTC, many thanks for the offer. We havent been going to Andrews lately as we found that we weren't getting the quantity of stuff we wanted at good enough prices. Bidding competition seems to be getting worse all the time, noticed we had quite a few from west wales at our local auction. Grass is always greener............

    Work is calling.......:(
