CTC - you NEED a STRUCTURAL ENGINEER who is registered as such - that's what you need. You won't get a loan without one. Also you NEED a SE because they understand structure who is fully qualified & who carries full insurance - no cutting costs by going to surveyor route. And no digging near the place - none.

A well known architect died when he decided that he'd do the underpining on his garden wall - now he should of known better, but he's brown bread. I can't stress enough - that gable will kill someone. It's serious dangerous.

Just been for a trip to casualty as getting very stiff necked & feeling increasingly bad. I have whiplash from a fall & should of had physio. Anyone else really hacked off with their GP?

Oh, whiplash is horrid, I had it froma fall too

    Always frustrated with doctors.

Last week bupa decided one of my specialists ( not a doctor but a referral froma consultant to try and deal with the malnutrition problem) wasn't necessary ad wouldn't be funded. This is fine by me, but today I got the call no one with bad health wants ' I'll treat you anyway'. It means you are 'interesting' and interesting is not good.

As it happens I feel pretty good today. :D

Moved a whole lot of fencing. I could do with some sheep so graze stuff down tight after the ponies. But there's not enough grass for real sheep IYSWIM.

Wish I had my sheep! Tons of grass just going to waste at present. Pete will remember I'm here someday soon....I hope. :(

I'm not sure who my personal GP might be. I'm registered and I've seen someone, but I think she retired. Haven't been for quite a while now. I expect it'll be a nurse when I get my jabs next week.

As for dentists, now I'm NHS, I seem to get a new one every time I go. DD2 was there a few weeks ago and says it's now a very young lady. Oh well..... could be worse! ;);)

DW is on permanent weekly physio with her neck and DD1 is still having regular sessions after a car accident 2 years ago. It will all come out of the other person's insurance when it's settled, but she won't finalise it until she's sure what all the implications are. Meanwhile, she pays out herself for the treatment.

Nice corral, Alfie! Very tastefully painted field shelter too. :)

I have no real news, or any fake news for that matter. Still digging foundations for the shed I must move.......

    Alfie that looks amazing :D

LIR Nothing wrong with being interesting especially if it leads to life being a bit more comfortable :)

Choille Tough times for you atm. The bath is always there if you are passing as is a cuppa, chat and a slab of cake. The only thing I would ask in return is a bit of advice on the garden :rotfl:

Nothing at all really to report from here, I have had a reasonably lazy day with a very long nap part way through and it has been lovely. Now I am pottering about cleaning and tidying. I may even bake :D
Taking responsibility one penny at a time!
  • Choille... I think they had a council grant? they had a lot of work done in 1972? how we know this, as there was a newspaper stuck behind some work that had been done.. why???

I will cancel the surveyor and try and find a structural engineer..
