It looks like all my birthdays have arrived and I may be getting Sebastopols and meeting CTC and Alf all on the same day. Madness :)

Just barely survived a weekend of OH being away with the van. This meant me and kids stuck on the hill in foul weather and no way of going out to break up the day. I was a very shouty mother and I'm feeling awful about it. As soon as OH got home I went straight to bed in the middle of the arvo. Hence my inability to sleep now.
• Rozee don't beat yourself up about being a bit shouty, I am sure you will get more days like that as the kiddies grow older...

Cant wait too:j:j

I was thinking over the weekend, Christmas is going to be VERY frugal this year... but I normally say that every year, and end up feeling guilty and having a mad pang and blowing the budget..

BUT I am really going to try and stick to it... I am lucky as its only us lot and my parents, and MIL to buy for.

Parents and MIL will get food Hampers again, as at least I know it will get used/eaten. Don't want to buy things that are just put to one side, and never seen/used.

Going to buy Hubby a multi tool swiss army knife thing, and flip knows what I am going to get the boys...

Rozee So delighted to hear that things are going well and I am green with envy that you get to meet some of our dreamers in real life :D Oh and don't worry about being a bit shouty, they will have forgotten all about it and will still adore you!

CTC Christmas is such a pressure. We have NO spare money however I know that my family will be generous as always and I have been wracking my brains to think of thoughtful and affordable gifts. They will love whatever I give them as to them it is the thought (well for most :rotfl:) however I hate unbalanced gift giving. Ah well I am sure it will all fall into place.

Maggie Earwigs are scary  could I get round the risk by soaking the heads in water for an hour?

Dave You never cease to amaze me with your many talents and unlimited knowledge of all things :D

It is damp outside but clear and fresh. Still tied to the house while work is being done but I don't mind as much as we were out and about all weekend. I do keep popping out to the garden to take in great lungfuls of fresh air though :D If I actually get the house back into some semblance of order then I will put on my jacket and go and potter about out there.

I need to clear the seed tin out at some point this week too and have a think about what would be practical to aim for planting next year. I'm thinking easy high yield crops like:

peas/beans
salad
courgettes
shallots

That combined with the soft fruit will probably be enough although I am open to suggestions :rotfl:

I was thinking about you, Rum, and the impending Winter season. My thoughts were along the lines of how much you will enjoy all the planning ;)

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: you know me so well! What I really need is someone to do all the work for me :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: All that training in strategic planning has been useful for planning my garden although I clearly didn't grasp the importance of implementation :rotfl:

• Alfie.. silly s@d you know I cant wait to catch up again...

getting swamped down in work now..:o think we might have ended up being busy fools.. well that's what it feels like at mo...

Alfie now that you know my 'master wacky business plan':D you might be able to source some clients up your way..and maybe be on a commission As I have been laid up on the sofa with this bl00dy bug thing most of the weekend, I have been doing loads of research on the internet.

BUT for now, back to the day job:(
