    It's not illegal. :D:p:cool:

I often get up early, but then I go to sleep early too....sometimes. I let the hens out at 06.00 in the summer, but at present I'm doing that at 07.00.

I was also thinking I'd go fishing early today, but DW had other plans... :(

Are you sure it is legal to be up that early :D

Mind you I can see your plan clearly now, get up really early and sneak out fishing to avoid any more kitchen shopping :rotfl:

Hmmm, 5:30 am is a tad early to be up and about, though I'm usually awake then. The cooler nights make staying in bed more of a luxury!

Looking at the bank balance I realise just how much we've spent over the last 3 months and how we need to get back on track and back to basics.
Time to earn a bit more money and do a bit less gadding about :o

It could've been like that, but we had an appointment, and I don't like letting people down. :o:o

Anyway, I have to say that this kitchen person really knew their stuff. No computer, just squared paper, a scale rule, and the job's a good 'un. :D Didn't like yesterday's plans at all.:(

Explored the town and bought some more fishing gear while in Tiverton, so it sort of made up for not being out there hunting my supper. Unfortunately, by the time I get the chance to do that, the water will be clear as crystal again! *sigh*

    evening all

well i have disturbed sleep , have done for over a year [hip] and i have to set my alarm as im so tired by morning i go into a deep sleep and have been known to wake alarmless at 10 !!
mind you in doing that im met by mabel throwing a hissy fit ...:rotfl:

i sorted and cleared my big shed today.. moved the sofas stored away from a leak dead centre :(

CTC.... i have put bed frame to one side also kitchen cupboards. when you think you may want/need em give me the nod... can you store them safely at the ranch ?? i will get pics and email them to you.
also the heat bricks and i have an amount of red clay tiles [aprox 6x6] for quirky wall behind sink ? or small hall ? aprox 50 ? can you remember what else cos im damned if i can...:rotfl: oldtimers...:o

iv cleared all the brambles mixed in my BIG bottle brush bush. [say that pithed..:rotfl:] and the chooks were right at my feet...not sure what they were after ?? falling bugs ? anyway i can see the bush now.:)
also trimmed my HUGE wonky willow..
need to tackle the bee garden next....my excuse has been a do not disturb zone but its a jungle now.:(

need to have a mega bonfire again... a friend called in the other day as she could see my house sort of wafting/surrounded by smoke and thought it was on fire...:o:rotfl: cos i have trees [woodland] on 2 sides the smoke tends to drift in damp weather rather than rise in a plume...

anyway it was fine today and warm. supposed to be good weekend , may go to surrey to see some friends on thier smallholding and i am NOT going to look at a gorgeous colored foal....;)

Getting quite stormy this evening. Sorry to hear of hip problems - OH is the same - can't get comfy. We both don't get much sleep & often wake up late too. We have also been known to have a lie down in the afternoon, as sometimes we stay up mega late doing paper work.

Busy morning for me & then scooped two barrow loads of stagnant twigs & leaves out of a drain at the top of the veg garden - which has been flooding. Then started to saw down a willow that's conked against another tree. Using a blunt saw aint much fun & slllloooooooooowwwww.

Went up to check the eggs & two lambs came running down the main road. Managed to get them in the field again after getting OH to come & help. And by that time it was dark. It's really chucking it down out there & I've a pile of stuff to iron which has been left till the very last day.

Don't think I'll get much photoing done now for the FLW on the feebay.

Choille, I find the gloomy days make photoing difficult and have invested in a diy photo booth made from a Homebase silvered material cast out and some cheapo lamps bought at the last auction. It works......just :o

Haven't seen much sun here lately :(

Just down the road from us is a food and green waste composting facility that produces some lovely pongs. Cowbridge is usually downwind so some locals have started an anti-pong petition :rotfl::rotfl:

If you are shooting regularly for the Bay and not getting good results, I would consider a camera with a CMOS sensor, which works better in lower light than the earlier CCD ones.

Something like rhiwfield's photo booth in a cardboard box is a great idea, as is a cheap tripod, which will allow longer exposures without flash.

Flash is a real killer of decent close-ups, unless you have all the kit to bounce it around properly.
