There is only 2 of them - they will feed well
Probably, but possibly not, there just being two is no guarantee, there's more to survival than feeding, and weighing will show any problems quickly.

  • Oh good she has just had another poo and a mahoosive wee!
Also when I came down this morn she was waiting by the hallway stairs for me and tried to bolt upstairs!
She came back in a few seconds later, went for the toilet then started eating and drinking.

Since we have been downstairs (20min) she hasn't even looked in on the kittens who are fast asleep,
Is this normal do u think?
Is she just getting a breather while they are sleeping?

Yes, it's normal, it means she feels that they are safe and full and that she trusts you not to disturb them.

It would be more of a worry if she were scared to leave their side, if she felt they were not safe where they were she would be more likely to hide them elsewhere.

  • Oh good thanks peachy I was hoping that was the answer.
I just changed their blanket for the first time since the birth aswell it wasn't particularly dirty just a few spots here and there.
But she watched me move kittens and came over to sniff them then I put them on the new bedding and she came and curled up round them and they started feeding agin, I also put the hot water bottle down the aswell.
Glad she's feeling confident and comfortable.

Have spoken with vet, she says that cats are unlikely to go a week overdue, but as Tabby is searching for places to nest and today is licking her bits (I did explain she had a piece of grass sticking out from her bum and i think this was why she was licking)she doesn't think she will be long.

She has of her own accord gone and got in her box we made just now, but got out again and went under our bed,she is now having her breakfast but only eating a small amount.all of this behaviour, I just want her to start yowling and pacing lol then I will know!

They do get really restless just before, they just can't settle no matter how comfy you make their birthing box :D
