Parking ticket, 6 minutes late

Hello

Today I was at a Hospital visiting a family member and I paid for an hour parking, however when I returned to my car I was 6 minutes late and was given the attached ticket. I don't deny I was late, however 6 minutes is ridiculous!

(ah it wont let me post a link as im a new user)

Basically its from a company called LDK security Group Limited. It says my time ran out at 1923 and the ticket was issued at 1929hrs.

Photographic evidence has been taken for court.

then goes on to talk about balifs etc....

I have read numerous conflicting reports and what confused me even more is they guy gave me the ticket and said if I paid within 14 days its £30 after that it goes to £60 which is not what the ticket says!

They are in breach of the BPA Code of Practice, they haven't given any grace period to leave the car park. Is this in England or Wales ?

I always say on here that if a newbie needs to ask that they haven't yet read enough current threads. It's mentioned everywhere and you can do yourself a big favour with this scam, by spending the waiting time just reading the current threads and advice - even just a couple of times a week until the Notice arrives in the post (unless yours is a company/hire car). POPLA is discussed, explained and linked in every other thread!

okay, the notice was given to me in person, as I returned back to my vehicle and realised I was 6 minutes late.

However I called the company to Query something on the PCN, the ticket says the charge is £60 if paid within 14 days and then it will go up to £90 after that.

However after calling the company to query the "fine" they said it is £30, after 14 days it will rise to £60.

I questioned the ticket therefore being incorrect.

They said it is not an error on the ticket, however based on what I have found out surely this means this ticket is worth nothing more than the paper its written on?

Just challenge the fake ticket with something like this, no matter what you it will be rejected out of hand. So don't tip them off about the grace period. Going to popla the independent appeals with our help will get this cancelled.

But wait until the Notice to Keeper arrives, as it costs them money ;)

    Dear Scammers,

In regards to the invoice received with ref number xxxxxx dated xxxxxx, the keeper denies all liability to your company, if you reject this challenge the keeper requires within 35 days a popla verification code for them to appeal independently, per Version 2 of the BPA Code of Practice.

The keeper has nothing further to add, and will not respond to any correspondence from your company unless it contains the popla code. If you wish to find out why the keeper rejects all liability, pay the £27 plus vat to popla to find out

The challenge will be deemed accepted if there is no popla code on any rejection that you supply within the time-frame stipulated above.

    Thanks
The only thing which concerns me is the fact that the cost of the ticket could end up going up and costing me more.
What grace period are you referring to?
