Parking ticket, 6 minutes late

The only thing which concerns me is the fact that the cost of the ticket could end up going up and costing me more.
What grace period are you referring to?
From the BPA Code of Practice
13.4
You should allow the driver a reasonable period to leave the private car park after the parking contract has ended, before you take enforcement action.
6 minutes is not reasonable IMO

Make NO contact with the PPC until you get the Notice to Keeper letter - this is important. Come back here when you receive the NtKPlease note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

I'm not hi-jacking your thread but thought I'd mention that my POPLA appeal was refused. One of the points they stated was that the car had overstayed the 5 minute grace period. Just thought I'd mention.......0

Have you posted up the transcript of your POPLA decision? If not, would you be good enough to post it into the following topic, please?

Dosn't mean that you have to still pay it. Anything under 10 minutes is unreasonable IMHO.PLEASE NOTEMy advice should be used as guidance only. You should always obtain face to face professional advice before taking any action.0 -
Don't forget, popla decisions are binding on ppc but not driver.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

I am starting to think I should just pay this to be honest....after reading of other people being told 5 minutes grace period etc.0

If I gave you a piece of paper saying please pay me £60 would you pay that?
Follow the advice on here and you will be fine. ( no pun intended)0 -
It's your money of course, but you've had the advice from here. And people have taken time to explain to you that this is a scam , if you want to fund this scam, please consider this first. If the charge came from Nigerian LDK Parking (UK) Ltd, and signed King Abdullah , would you pay up ?
This lot never do court (to date) , and it would be easy to ignore. But why do that when its quite easy to challenge this and win ? If you want to give money away, can I suggest Cancer Research UK instead, they are deserving of help instead of scummy parking companies who will spend the money from mugs on expensive cars and extravagant lifestyles .When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you.
