Hi roxy,
Firstly congratulations on reaching the end of my diary and not sleeping :rotfl:
I've never had a diary before and find it good to write my thoughts down, and achievements. Especially things like paying my od off etc.
Mine and dh's accounts are joint so its not as though he doesnt help me, but he's not interested where as i love coming on here and finding new challenges/ideas and tips.
One thing ive found really good recently is rounding down my bank account and paying towards debt. Love how annoying it must be for the cc company to have miniature payments going in all the time
I do count my car finance as a debt, as far as i'm concerned it's a monthly commitment, so its £183 i have to find somewhere.
How are u managing on maternity leave? Do u work at the minute? Im dreading smp  xStill here..... but working on that!0 -
Another nsd day today, making 3 so far in august :T
In not so good news, the old car i dead, which my bank account could seriously do without! Not good at all for my debt busting as i now need something this week or next week before baby comes!
Not much to add today, im very very tired, maternity leave next week :jStill here..... but working on that!0 -
you're doing really well
i had a bump in my car last week that took a chunk out of savings. just rubbish timing isnt it!
next week will be excellentand not like til you meet baby

Update on this months spends from the aaa thread!
Did see a car last night, and paid a deposit, which we will get back if the finance doesnt happen, soo disappointed we have to add to our debt but we NEED a car and want reliable since the last one didnt last us a month.
need food shopping today, or possibly tomorrow as my mother can help me carry the heavy bags!
have had some ff vouchers through the post today, and am tempted to pop up there for a change, we don't actually need that much but I dont want supplies to run low before baby comes.
Quite pleased we haven't spent/wasted a penny this month yet, except the car deposit, which surprisingly came from the current account as we had more in there than usual.
It's so lovely to not have an overdraft :j love looking at my bank account and seeing a plus sign!!
Mr.T credit card has just had £75 transferred to it from child benefit going in, figured if it was that much of an emergency then I'd just have to use the cc, but very much doubt I'll need to.
Slowly getting there, at least the balances are heading in the right direction.....Still here..... but working on that!0 -

Grocery shop yesterday - really didnt want to go! Went to 1cel4and for a change and found it realy expensive compared to 4ldi! Chose it because they do free home delivery which is handy when your about to pop!
Today wont be a sfd as we need a big bag of dog food, and some poo bagsessentials but still dont want to spend!
My mother just text to see if i needed anything from town so shes getting me some zoflora, furniture polish and a cheap air freshener! :money: probably saved me about £2!
Started cleaning this morning..... Cleaned a cupboard and a draw, and decluttered and threw out 34 items! Hoping i can do some more but my back is already angry with me!!
Dh is home by 1, so hopefully he'll feel like helping me
Really hoping its nesting, im not usually this keen!
Right enough for now.....Still here..... but working on that!0 -

So plan for the day.... (I'm in work but work alone so i'm hoping for a quiet day!)
1.re-budget - £500 spent on car deposit needs to come from somewhere
2.add my total debt to my sig so i can watch it tick down every month, except next month when my new car gets added to it  essential never the less unfortunately.
3.write a to do list for whilst im off on maternity - so i dont try to do everything on my first day!
4. Write another list of things i need to buy for my hospital bag and find someone who'll lend me a bag!!
Not a nsd day for me today - spent £40 on petrol which will hopefully last me to the end of the month, and £4.25 on coke and chocolate - yes essential!! I've had just about as much as i can take if work now before i go off next week!
Will post later when i have done my maths!Still here..... but working on that!0
