  • Aw thank u :) i'll def have a look at that, i love apps, they make me think positively!

Hoping i can chop a few more months off my dfd before long, but if i cant then as long as it doesnt get further...

Will have to finish my budget tomorrow, been in training all day today
Still here..... but working on that!
  • Had a nsd yesterday :T yei me!!

Fridge/freezer and cupboards are very full up now which is nice!

Decided to start picking at my next account debt of £308, starting it on this 100 day challenge because i've been doing so well rounding down my bank account etc that i didnt want to break the habit. Made my first payment of £1.40! :D every little helps as they say!! I know i wont finish it before the end of the 100 days, but if the balance is a few pounds less than i'd intended then it's all good!

Still happy that i managed to take 2 whole months off my dfd!!

Ok so my budget needs doing today, off i go.....

    hello :)

    i'm expecting a baby in 6 weeks :)

i have kept an eye out on local facebook seller pages for baby stuff as well as gumtree and got some great bargains and as they are local no extra p&p.

i do a big food shop every 3 weeks in aldi. there is only 2 adults & 2 cats in our house. we spend about £60 on the big shop, then probably about £15 a week on top up bits. so £105 for 3 weeks.

SMP is disgusting isnt it. my work dont offer any mat packagae either so im the same as you.

i'm going to subscribe to your diary :)

good luck with your journey :)

  • Hi lurvlyloz,

Thanks for the reply :) how comes when someone else tells me theyre having a baby in 6 weeks it doesnt seem long but seems months away for me?? Whats your due date? People keep talking to me about birth, and telling me their lovely stories :-/ do u know if your team pink or blue??

Three weekly shop also sounds good, then like u say a small top up in between. I'm sure i spend on unneccessary things when i go weekly. Seems to b here before i know it and then i'm another £50 down!!

I agree smp is awful, i'd get the same if i worked 2 days a week to being a full timer! Doesnt seem fair to me but hey ho they're not likely to listen to little me!! (Little! Lol, im far from little at the moment!!)

I havent looked on gumtree, will have to join. I think im done for now with baby shopping, just need a couple of packs plain white vests, probably from 4sda, think they're £2.50 for three? That should see me through the first couple of weeks.

So much to think about :)

i am team pink. my due date it Sep 7th seems like forever!

i have changed our shopping habits dramatically over the past 6 months but it is working for us and saving us a fortune. i went to Mr Ts the other day coz i coulnt be bothered to treck on my day off, and was disgusted how little we'd got for our money. so def a kick up the bum to get my self back to normal.

i bought my cotbed from gumtree. its a m&p one.. £300 brand new _ £70 for the drawer underneath...i paid £30 for them both! very happy.

asda have a sale on at the moment so yo should get some bargains there :) x

  • Ah great thanks, that is a bargain for the cot!! I ordered ours in the last asda baby event, it was £120 for the cot, mattress, bedding and sheets, which i was happy with :)

I'm due the 10th! 3 days after u, from my dates i was the 6th but they moved me a couple of days.

I'll only call to mr.t if i need one or two bits, theyve had most of my pay over the last couple of years, and theyre not having anymore, well except for petrol because i do like my clubcard points!!
