So I've joined the 100 day challenge which ends one day after my maternity leave starts, absolutely perfect!!
Goodbye overdraft!!!Still here..... but working on that!0 -
A nsd and a day off, managed to get loads done in the house and havent spent a penny
And joined a challenge... Pleased with myself after such a rubbish weekend.
Just need to make lunches before bed for tomorrow and im done.
Good day!! High 5 to me xStill here..... but working on that!0 -
Found an app last night a envelope budgeting app. Seems good, and really easy to use. I'm useless with cash because if ive got it ive spent it, so this way means i know exactly how much of my grocery/petrol and entertainmet budget is left and can still use my 123 card for cashback!
Also downloaded a snowball app, havent played it yet though, will b handy though to add all the extra payments i make to as and when i make them.
Plan for today:
Go shopping with a list, only need 4 things, which im hoping i can get in homebargains. Toilet roll/tooth paste etc
[STRIKE]Charge my phone at work[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Make packed lunch for me and dh[/STRIKE]
Try out my snowball app, and get my dfd
Eat from freezer or storecupboard
Start next months budget which starts on the 25th, wil have to leave my salary blank for now as a lot is commission based.
Find some more rubbish to ebay!
Think that's it for now, not bad though xStill here..... but working on that!0 -
So my debt free date is 01/07/2017!
Shame i hadnt worked it out when debt was at 53k actually i might do that out of curiosity.
At least now i have an aim and something to try to beat xStill here..... but working on that!0 -
Lovely morning!
Today my plan is to:
Have a nsd
[STRIKE]make lunch for work for me and dh[/STRIKE]
Start the budget for the 25th (oops was on yesterdays list)
Eat from the freezer or cupboards tonight.
Find some stuff to ebay and make that dfd a lot shorter!
Used up all of my food budget yesterday which is a pain, usually wanted it to run tues to tues but as i didnt go shopping last week i needed to go on sun, and needed a few extra bits.
I have got a couple of pounds in a tin which i accounted for last week as cash taken out of the bank so i'll just use that and not raid mr.cashpoint :-/ or i'll send dh as u can guarantee he'll only buy whats on the list!
If this happens every week ill definately need to rework the budget/shop somewhere else. Went to mr.t sun as i was exhausted getting home from hols xStill here..... but working on that!0 -
Ok so my diary has been more than slightly abandoned!!
But it's ok i'm back.... And motivated by yesterdays nsd.
Actually what motivated yesterdays nsd was going through aprils bank statement and realising how much money we wasted.
Need to go food shopping today, have already soent £7.70 of this weeks budget, but honestly wont need much at all and i have an aldis voucher from the paper last week.
Will be back later mami duties call xStill here..... but working on that!0 -

Welcome back, dragon! I can see how looking at old bank statements would motivate - it always does the trick for me!

Don't worry, I used to spend around £400 on food before I started shopping at Aldi and Lidl! I've never looked back.
You're going to get there with the grocery budget, just need time to adjust a bit x* * * Catriona's Credit Card Countdown * * * from -£16k to debt neutraldom - for my debt diary click here

well at least it can only get better, I switched to lidl/aldi/farm foods a few weeks ago and have definitely spent less already.
I'm sure June/julys statement will look a whole lot better.
How much do you spend now and how many of you are there?
