It's not a problem. You'll get better answers if the other members can see how the application is progressing and can refer back to earlier answers on other parts of the process.

It isn't always an easy process.

    Nationwide - Countrywide - Agent - Vendor

There are plenty of places for calls to be missed, nor returned, on holiday etc.

As soon as a valuation appointment is made, you'll be texted the date by the update system.

I asked Nationwide if i would get a text update when an appointment is made, she said no.

I will give CW a call tomorrow to see if one has been made :)

EA called. Booked for 25th June. This gives us plenty of times to get our mortgage documents for nationwide.

We plan to send our documents back this week. If Nationwide found a problem with us (employment etc) would they reject or application before the valuation?

Who said no? Countrywide? Nationwide should text yo the date the survey is takin place. Tbh I doubt all these phone calls you are making will make much difference. I would just sit tight and wait for things to happen. These things take time. You sound like you working yourself into a frenzy thinking about all the stuff that needs to happen. And just forget about how quick other applications went through. Yours or there's might be completely different.

    hey

    Nationwide said I wouldn't.

I'm just a bit nervy about our mortgage as my partner has just got a job since finishing Uni. It should be all on though.

  • Then whoever from nationwide told you is wrong. They send you texts when the product has been reserved, full app received, data of survey, if survey is ok or not, mortgage offer issued, date solicitor has requested mortgage funds - from memory and I have not long completed on a nationwide mortgage.

I may be wrong about direct applications but for broker applications they are one of the ones we don't have to 'hold back'. I quote from a message from our BDM just a couple of days ago when I was actually trying to push for an early valuation ....

"itsbeen scored and accepted, once underwritten the val will be instructed"

.... generally the way we always recommend so that client is not spending any more money than necessary until we are as confident as possible of successful application.

exactly how ours went ,underwriter happy ,valuation done 2 days later on the frid, report received and full app done on tuesday ,stalled on wed due to not accepting tax credits ,this was 3 weeks ago ,tax credit was £840 /4 WEEKLY NOT ACCEPTED ,HAD TO CHANGE CHILD BENEFIT INTO MY NAME TO HOPEFULLY GET IT THROUGH
