6 grand in 6 months - my personal challenge!

hi mara thank you! that's true! we haven't actually spoken much about it but i know he is hurting as much as i am. we just tend to sit in silence at the moment or talk nonsensically!!!

but we have agreed, getting a new cat would be a way to honour little kitty rather than treating him in a throw-away fashion. Originally we said no ginger, as he is ginger but now we are ok so long as they need a forever home, we could give them all the love in the world.

he was my little baby and i adored him, just on the first day when his old owner dropped him off he came straight out of the box and into my arms and didn't leave my lap for 2 days!! and he was the most beautiful boy you've ever seen!!!!

we planned to have him for such a long time, we even had a dream that at christmas we would put a bow tie on him! but unfortunately now we only have memories

we havent been to see new kitty yet - so don't know yet if we'll bond - still having second thoughts about maybe being too soon?

hi Hoks! thank you! of course you can see pics! i have pm-ed you! We have a new kitty now, a black one to last kitty's gingerness! It is very sad but we know he is not a replacement but another fur baby.

And he was free! bonus! and he like's all the kitty food we have already so that saves on hassle! and he spent some time on my lap all ready and has just jumped on the OH's lap! which is a bonus! He sits on our old kitty's favorite chair too, which is sad but good in a way!!

of course we contacted a few people and all have their cats waiting for forever homes so it was a bit sad that we could only take one in

we will never forget our baby but by giving another a forever home i hope we have done something in his honour

he is still settling in, we are still very upset, but we can't let that detract from loving our new fur baby!! So he fell asleep first on OH's chest and then by my feet on the bed last night but this morning i woke up and found his behind the sofa so he's still not settled, as as its not yet been 24 hours that is expected!

its funny how quickly your world can change, I was looking at my goals for April i posted earlier this month. Ironically i think the only one I can claim to have followed was the debt-busting!!! It has obviously become the constant in a world of turmoil!! haha!

we overspent on a lot of things this month but i'm not going to think about it, i'm going to go clean slate in may and start again.

Sunday today - don't know where the time goes! Lots of washing to do so I hope I don't scare new kitty with the machine!!!

Hi C-R,

I just found your diary today and have read from start to finish. It is a really interesting read, and you can really see the ups and downs, but your overwhelming strength throughout. I know you will succeed, and will subscribe and pop in from time to time if ok?

I also wanted to say I'm so sorry about your kitty (I cried when I read that as you really start to feel like you 'get to know people' through the diaries and what hurts them, hurts you, IykwIm?)

I'm glad that you have focused on giving another little fur baby a loving home. My two little black and white cats give me so much pleasure (one is licking my knee as I type this for some reason...)

Of course you can pop in it is lovely to hear from people who read my diary!

I still miss him but we are not letting that affect our relationship with new kitty, although we have both said we wish our first was still here. but...we can't bring him back and this kitty is a lovely little thing and I'm so pleased to have given him a home! although a part of me thinks only having 2 not 1 can fill the void left behind!!!!

i hope i will succeed! I hope fate will be kind to me for a while, I have felt too much pain and hardship recently
