    Hiya C-R!

Well I guess the sale of the building just goes to show that you were right - time to leave and even the universe agrees! It's all good and it will fall into place.

I would tell your boss sooner rather than later. At least then you will know where you stand and you can plan with that in mind. I hope your hubby finds a job soon - mine is in the same boat and getting quite disheartened. It's hard to stay positive at times!

Just think how happy little kitty will be to have space to roam and play out in the country!! You've got a bit of an adventure ahead! :)

  • I will try and spread what good luck I have DFW321! though it isn't much I'll tell you! It's been a tough few months!

but the good thing is I'm keeping up minimum payments (barely) and we're eating through our stockpiles - though pasta is not the healthiest thing to eat day and night at least we have it in abundance!

other than that - on the debt busting front we're just biding our time, my F&F which they said they'd mark as settled still shows as a default with a remaining amount outstanding (left over from the amount i paid as the offer) so I'll have to call them up and moan at them on monday!

think the problem is now we're in a bit of a limbo - we know we'll have to move soon, with the place being up for sale, but we haven't been able to save anything with OH not having had a job and it's too early to look.

I want to ask my boss for flexi to work form home a few days a week as we want to move out of london but I'm scared if he says no - what would do? I really feel a bit cabin-feverish about the whole thing at the moment and all i'm doing as a result is going to work, coming home, going to work and we can't go out as we have no money so - blech! - just spending all my days on the internet or reading :(

funny thing is as well we don't even have anything left in the place thats worth any money to sell to get a contingency amount of money!

So - just biding my time really! But it's driving me crazy!!!!!!!!!!

  • well - some great news for once! OH's contract (due to start next week) has asked if he wants to extend it til end of august (was only meant to be 2 weeks)! whoop!!!!!!! :j:j:j:j
so that means we'll be a bit more comfortable for the next few months, we should be able to save up around 4k we need to relocate and maybe be able to do some cheeky F&Fs on some of the outstanding defaults.

but until he gets his first paycheck we're still close to the wire.

we had to do some unexpected spends this week. Little kitty had fleas (poor thing) so we have been spraying the house with some toxic spray (which really does the trick), I gave him a bath (washing up liquid -recommended online followed by a dousing of vinegar which fleas hate supposedly) and then gave him his spot on and now we're in the process of hot washing everything! Not environmentally friendly i'm afraid or electric bill friendly!

also had to buy a new hoover to hoover up all the larvae eggs etc so had to pick up an arguuuus value one at only 18 quid - can't recommend highly enough for the price! and there I was looking at 60/70 quid hoovers!

going to enjoy this weekend by continuing the tidying and taking a fresh look at our numbers as I haven't peeked at them for a while!

Hope everyone is having a great friday?

i'm sad to say as well - there is no way I'll achieve the 9 grand in 6 months challenge i set myself anymore :( but you can't predict your circumstances i suppose!

    xx
