Hi all - Hope you are all keeping well.
Lovely day here again.
Had my first "shop" yesterday. Was hoping to not go until next week, but after the freezer disaster of a few nights ago, I had to go and re-stock.
I did manage to get some good YS bargains though, which replaced the losses to an extent. As what was lost were all 75% off YS bargains, and what I replaced them with were all 75% off YS bargains as well, I guess I ended up paying 1/2 price. Not great, but could be worse.
Anyways, spent £46.09 in Mr T and followed with £2.44 in Ald*
Have got Looooaaaadddssa meat in stock now, only thing meat wise I can see myself needing is some cooking bacon and some chicken but that won't be for at at least a week.
We have lots of beef based meat in, so my partner will be pleased as this is his favourite. He may not enjoy it as much though as on my meal plan for the month, I believe 12 of the meals are beef mince based and 8 of them actual beef based, so that is 20 out of 30 meals. lol.
I also restocked on Plain flour, SR flour, Sugar, Golden Syrup and other baking ingedients, as well as wheetabix and porridge oats for breakfasts.
Got some bargain fruit - grapes at 60p a kilo, some YS strawbs which we are having with HM scones today, some YS raspberries which have been frozen.
All I will need over the next week is:
Bananas
Milk
Tin Tomatoes
Loaf of bread
Will need baby formula end of next week as well, but other than that I am stocked and ready to go.
Hopefully my 2nd month will be a success. And to all those new and old have a  on me ande njoy the sun. I am off to bake my scones, and possibly some flapjacks too.Mum of 2 monkey. 4 yrs and 2 yrs :j
Starting again...

Good afternoon all. Hope everyone is having a good weekend.
Well did our shopping for next week and spent more than had planned as bought a chicken and sausages that weren't on my list and a couple of other things but felt like a wee treat meatwise as we have just had a meat-free week. I think I have enough in for meals for at least a week without shopping for much at all and am topped up with coffee, cleaning stuff and toiletries as well as OH's Linseeds. We'll see...
Spent £44.42 in MrM and £5 exactly in A*di.Grocery challenge October: £228.28/£250.00 NSD 4 ( not completed)

First proper NSD today!
Used up loads of bits too, 6 eggs that are bb tomorrow, for egg mayo sandwiches at lunch and then half a punnet of sugar drop tomatoes in our pasta bake for tea with frozen meatballs and a tin of sweetcorn that's been hanging around forever. Have enough left for another portion of pasta bake and some LO egg mayo for someone's lunch tomorrow. Also made some caramel cupcakes with DS1, a packet mix I found in the back of the cupboard.
Will need to go to the co*p tomorrow for bread at least though.January Grocery challenge - £165.31/£3500 -
Ok so made my online shop today. Used the Waitrose codes - the shopping was £113, then with special offers and the £15 of it came to £72 :j
I have tried the other online supermarkets but none have reached Waitrose standard. If they have to make a substitute and the substitute costs more they only charge you the original price. Win win situation.
I hope that the shop will last for most of the month and all I will need to buy is top up milk and fresh veg.
I'm going to try and last out the next 2 days as NSD although haven't got much veg/fruit left.
Phew that was a hard afternoon's work :rotfl::rotfl:0 -
Thanks for the congratulations everyone! Part of it was New shift Allowance as switching to shifts (14%) but the other 18% was purely for me doing so well in my first year of the job and coming so far... had tons of positive feedback which was really lovely! I'm just holding out till I see money in my account, then I'll be truly excited! Can't wait to be debt free (*clears throat* again)!
Congratulations CityGirl40 what an amazing degree result! Well done you, bet you're so chuffed!
I haven't reconciled my accounts yet but my estimate is £20 ish remaining for Aug. this may sound awful but it's only two weeks tomorrow for me due to hol. I have a crammed fridge and freezer (well, it's a freezer drawer thing at the top of the fridge) and a fair few dry goods in so except some milk I shouldn't need any fresh stuff for a couple of days. I am planning a full stocktake tomorrow as want to use up loads of stuff! Plus need to stop hoArding so much!

Big shop today - bit of a stock up needed so £60.33 spent between Mr A and Mr T. Got some good offers and used a few vouchers but still a big spend for us! Lots of meat and pasta ready for some batch cooking before the kitchen gets re-done!0
