Yay new thread! Thank you Zippy :-)

I will declare for July on the 24th with our August budget starting on the 25th.
This month bf has two three day camps and then 7 days in Belgium for a tournament and, for a change, I have 8 Days in Belgium to watch said tournament!

These things mean a 4.5 week month becomes a 3.5week month for the grocery budget!

Our fridge has also given up it's fight for life so we are ordering a new one tomorrow which will be bigger - a few reasons; water and ice dispenser are a must for us, more space will finally enable me to shop monthly (other than milk and fruit/salad veg) plus there's a few other reasons!

With all that in mind I'm going to reduce August's budget by £20 and go for £80 for the month - this will give me enough to buy all we need plus probably a few extras. I'd also like to get some storage boxes for the new freezer from Lakeland as we only have one draw and then shelves in the new freezer !

Off to meal plan for this week in order to use most of the freezer stuff we have in atm!

Hi, this month has been a washout for me, gave up after about 10 days.

But I really want to give it a good go in August. I'd like a budget of £100 please, half a very doable £200 as we are all away until the 10th and then after just under a week, my daughters are away for 10 days. I'm planning/hoping on £33 a week from August 10 being plenty.

Thanks to zippychick and Coxy for running the thread and thanks to all the lovely contributors who continue to inspire and inform xx

Posting my target early but won't start until 27th (payday) Increasing a bit from usual as I plan on doing a detox week so will spend more on fruit n veg.

Please can I be in for £120 for August?

Off to get some inspiration from the "A Girl Called Jack" blog I read about this week.

    Good luck everyone!!

    Hi all

As stated in the July thread I'd like to join please, with £90 for August. This is from 26th July (assuming I get paid on time!) till 18 August when I go on holiday. I then arrive back after I've been paid again :D

Looking forward to trying to get back into this, as I've been seriously slack for months now!

  • Good evening all,
thanks for the new thread guys :D

My week starts again on the 29th July until 26th August, and I'm sticking with £225 to see if this month was just a fluke, or if I'm getting the hang of this!

Hello! Can I join in please? Really need some motivation to stay on track. I am going to aim for £300 for the month - my Mum is staying with us for the month so its for 4 people. Quite good stockcupboard in which will help but this will be the lowest I have ever done if I manage it. Good luck everyone.
    I'm not a failure if I don't make it, I'm a success because I :tried!
