If you look on the case (probably the rear or possibly the top) - is there a sticky label with a string of numbers on it ?
I assume that you were using Windows XP ?
If not, and you were using Windows 7 - You can download a full installation DVD from digitalriver at X17-59463.iso
This is the (legal) link for Windows 7 premium 32 bit - which is most likely to be the one...
You will, of course need a blank DVD and burner...
You will need your product key to install the software
In fact that is Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit with SP1.
I think you should just wait for more information from the OP.
The Service Tag would be more appropriate.0 -

How do I start the computer in safe mode? Sorry, I have no technical knowledge of computers when they go wrong!
The blue screen says something about invalid process attach attempt...no idea what that means.0 -

What is the DELL Service Tag at the back of the PC?
If you cannot see around to the back, click here0 -
Safe Mode is reached just after you start the computer and before Windows is loaded, by gently tapping the F8 key just as you turn the computer on then selecting Safe Mode. If it starts in Safe Mode, then we are likely looking at a software issue.
So a System Restore where you take the computer back a few days in time, might resolve the problem.0 -
it means it's a software problem
if you have rapport installed, uninstall it, and post a hijackthis log https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2436849!!

Sorry - but please read the previous posts !!0 -
I choose what I read, and what I post, not you.
As it happens, I have read them all.
