Thanks Twiggy_34 - I think it's the only option I have at the moment - bad isn't it? When I'm in the 'right zone' I'm really good at saving money. I just need to get meyself back there, and it has to be now
So the day didn't go according to plan - there was chocolate cake brought in and truffles, so that was breakfastso I'll leave my banana here for tomorrow's breakfast instead. I was dubious how the reheated pizza would go too but it's lovely! Unfortunately it's very carby but right now I need to get my spending undercontrol and then reduce my carb intake.
Not sure about tomorrow - we have spag bol for dinner but it was a previously frozen left over portion. I know it will cover dinner but no idea about leftovers again. Othewise I might try out an uber easy breadcrumbs and chilli flakes combo on top of any excess pasta that we almost always cookApril 2021 Grocery Challenge 34.29 / 2500 -
Morning all! No leftovers last night so grabbed a peanut butter sarni this morning (was running late) and some strawbs. I still have yesterday's banana at work for breakfast
And true to my word, my purse is now at home while I'm sat on the trainApril 2021 Grocery Challenge 34.29 / 2500 -
Hi all
Off sick today as have hurt my back, and all I can think about is the fact that I have already taken my soup for the rest of the week into work!
Will have to try and find something to eat today that doesn't take too long to cook as I won't be able to stand for long.
Have tasty days all!My debt free diary | Post Office loan: £2131 1429.38 | Barclaycard: £4429 1988.12 | Paypal Credit £322.71 574.91 | Monzo Flex £169.03 |

I've only just discovered this thread and it's towards the end of the month but can I join?
Today isn't a great example of me taking lunch but I've been working on some plans and have a few more ideas from reading through this thread :-)
I keep a 'just in case' stash of 11p noodles and cuppa soups in my draw but keep falling back on them too much! So from next weekend (after I've been to a decent supermarket!) I will be keeping fruit on my desk - my manager and I have been saying we will do this for ages and we've never got round to it but now I will! And I have my own tea bags (flavoured) and squash in my desk already. We have a microwave and a toaster at work and sometimes I do take soup/leftovers so will be doing that a lot more and taking bread to make toast to go with soup etc :-) and I want to start keeping some crackers in my draw with peanut butter (62p!) too.
This way I can grab fresh stuff from home of a morning - yogurts/jelly, the leftovers/soup, soft cheese, salads, boiled eggs etc etc and still know I have fruit (which keeps getting squished in my bag-yuk!) And cereal bars etc in work to make for a full , balanced lunch.
So thank you for the inspiration and I hope I can do well at this not buying take out/quick options/boots meal deals etc! :-)************************************

I'm doing okay an day 3 of being back in the swing. Not a fabulously healthy lunch (peanut butter sandwiches for the second day) but we ate at my folk's last night so no leftovers for today..
But importantly, I have lunch with meI have my purse too but that's because I have to sort out my some banking today as my pin wasn't accepted on one of my cards the other day and now I can't use paypal through it, sigh...

Hello, I'm a classic same sarnie (ham&cucumber) every day chap.
However since the DFW lifestyle kicked in I've switched from a daily Muller Rice to Lidl King Frais version - 6 for £1.60, half the price, twice as tasty and almost the same nutritionally. Give them a go if you are a Muller fan. The only thing the family don't seem to be able to drop a brand on is Cherrios, however these are always on bargain offers in B&M or Home Bargains so no biggie.Mortgage Due to Start April 2015 - £165,000
