Joyful June 2013 - Take Your Lunch to Work Thread

Evening all!

I'm starting the thread this month as Kittiej is pretty busy, but hopefully we'll be seeing her pop in every once in a while :)

So, we're already in June, hitting hlaf way through the year - wowsers! But for those of you who've been following the threads since Jan, even those of us who have had a bit of time away now and then - think of how much money you've possibly saved so far :D

Anyway, enough of my rambling, on to the purpose of the thread.... <below is nabbed from Kittiej's thread from last month>

Everyone is welcome even if you only work 1 day a week or stay at home but would like to join. So, the doors are now open......

Evening all! So, starting off with my first LTW for aaaggges :o

I've just popped some tinned peaches and tinned strawbs in a tuppa wear pot, topped with a yoghurt, and sorted a little food bag of granola to top it with tomorrow for breakfast at work

Then for lunch I'm meeting a friend but we're both bringing our lucnhes with us to sit out in the sun so I'm going to go and make a salad of bagged tesco salad (yea.. I know it's cheating), some chopped boiled beetroot and a dollop of coleslaw

Hey guys, glad I found you at last (thanks for the link Shortie), I felt quite bereft at not knowing if the new thread had been created or how I might find it!

I'm sat at my desk, part way through my lunch. I've been successful with LTW's every day this week.

Here's hoping it really is a Joyful June! :rotfl:

:o:o Well, I sorted my missing bowl issue by adding some of the bagged granola to the fruit and yoghurt in the tuppawear pot, easting a bit to make some space and adding more granola (and adding a fair few crumbs to my desk in the process :rotfl:)

Lunch was eaten early and though tasty didn't cut the hunger-mustard... So I crakced and bought a bag of crisps and can of coke from the blasted vending machine.

But, I still did better today that previosu weeks money-wise. And I we're going to take a drive out to a bigger town and hit the market tomorrow so we'll be getting a better variety of bits in which should make the lunchtime boredom not so hard to deal with!

I'm going to spend some time meal planning tonight or tomorrow morning (we have a rough idea each week anyway but writing it down this time) and will think through my lunches too. I think we have a bag of plain couscous at home - maybe it's time to learn what on earth to do with it! :)
